I had to repeat thesixth grade. At that time a new teacher, Miss Sadia, came to our school. One day after class, she noticed that I was staying alone during the lunch break. If we start a new language after youth, however, we are adding a new set of rules to our mind. That iswhy we find it difficult to learn a new language—we’re building a new speech system when we are not youngany more. Why is it easier for kids to learn a new language Children are relatively more active, open-mindedand their language system is not fixed, meaning it is less work for them to pick up new things. The good news is that learning a language isn’t really that hard if you’re opening your mind. But it does takehard work and motivation to achieve your goals. It’s important to remember what you’re actually learning is how to communicate in a new way with otherhuman beings. If you often share your daily experience with others in that language, what you’re learning isrelated to you. For example, if I’m learning Italian, I would never remember how to say “Dove e la biblioteca ”or “Where is the library ” but I will always remember how to say “Ti piace il caffe ” or “Do you like somecoffee ”In addition, TV shows, films and video games in foreign languages are all great forms of entertainment forlearning a new language. Anything that relates you to the language and culture is great, so long as you find itenjoyable.Adding a single new word to your vocabulary can be interesting and rewarding. The road to fluency can behard, but the view along the way is really amazing, so it’s OK if you are driving slowly.28.What affects language learning according to the first two paragraphs A.Money. B.Age. C.Mind. D.Work.29.What can we infer about language learning from paragraph 2 A.Adults can pick up new things quickly.B.Children have a fixed language system.C.Adults find the new rules easy to remember.第 4 页 共 10 页{#{QQABTQKEggigABJAAQgCUQGyCAKQkgCCCQgOAEAAMAAACRNABAA=}#}D.Children outrun adults in language learning.30.What is helpful for learning a language according to paragraphs 4 and 5 A.Using it in daily life. B.Playing video games.C.Going to the library. D.Writing down its rules.31.What may be the best title for the passage A.How to Build up Your Vocabulary B.Language Learning: Chance or Challenge C.Why do Children Learn Faster Than Adults D.Is It too Late to Master a Foreign Language DOnline English has become a common language for users from around the world. In the process, thelanguage itself is changing. There are now thought to be some 4.5 billion web pages worldwide. Some languageexperts predict that within 10 years English will occupy the internet — but in forms very different to what weaccept and recognize as English today. That’s because people who speak English as a second language already outnumber native speakers. Andincreasingly, they use it to communicate with other non-native speakers, particularly on the Internet where lessattention is paid to grammar and spelling and users don’t have to worry about their accent (口音).Users of Facebook already socialize in a number of different “ Englishes ” including Indian English,Spanish English and Korean English. While these different styles have long existed within their cultures, they’re now expanding and coming online. Technology companies are introducing newly-developed English wordswith products aimed at enabling users to add words that are not already in the English dictionary. And mostlarge companies have English websites, while smaller businesses are learning that they need a commonlanguage — English — to reach global customers. The increasing popularity of the internet allows more languages to develop quickly. “Most people actuallyspeak several languages — it’s less common to only speak one,” says Mr. Munro. “English has taken itsplace as the world’s common language, but it’s not pushing out other languages.” Instead, other languages arepushing their way into English, and in the process creating something new.32.What does the text mainly talk about A.There are now many different language styles.B.English is a common language around the world.C.English language is developing with the Internet.D.Smaller businesses are learning a common language.33.Which of the following is NOT true about online communication A.Grammar is not so important.B.People need to spell accurately.C.People do not care about their accent.D.Most English-speakers are not native speakers.34.What can we infer from the text A.We can only communicate online in English.B.Smaller businesses are not allowed to have English websites.C.It’s impossible to find all the English words in the dictionary.D.Some technology companies start to publish English dictionaries.35.What can we learn from what Mr. Munro said A.Other languages are enriching English.B.Chinese used to be the world’s common language.第 5 页 共 10 页{#{QQABTQKEggigABJAAQgCUQGyCAKQkgCCCQgOAEAAMAAACRNABAA=}#}C.English will become the only language in the world.D.One can’t live well without speaking several languages.第二节(共 5 小题;每小题 2 分,满分 10 分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。Handwritten Chinese characters can be beautiful. Living in a digital era with smartphones and computers, most students sooner or later ask themselves this question: 36Knowing how to write Chinese characters by hand is just cool. It feels like magic when you draw a fewlines on paper that don’t normally make sense, but they suddenly come together and create a meaning. 37Handwriting characters trains your muscle memory, making characters stay longer in your memory andimproving your reading and speaking skills. 38 However, without knowing how to write charactersby hand, you are very unlikely to reach a level above intermediate (中级的).39 Handwriting characters is a form of meditation. Once you learn how to stay focused, you willnot only notice that your concentration skills improve, but you will also find yourself feeling calm and relaxedwhen writing characters. Most people agree that we should learn to write last least some characters at some point as a student ofChinese, although not necessarily straight away and not necessarily all the characters that you can say. Butunless you don’t care about written language at all, you should learn the basics of handwriting. 40 Youdon’t need to be a calligraphy master, but you do need basic handwriting skills to do this. Simply looking atthings is, as usual, a bad way of learning.A.And amazingly, you can understand it.B.Is it important to learn Chinese culture C.Handwriting characters trains your concentration.D.Learning characters is a good idea for all students.E.Without it, it will be very hard to understand characters.F.Is it really necessary to learn how to write by hand in Chinese G.You can learn Chinese to a certain level without handwriting characters.第三部分 语言知识运用(共一节;满分 15 分)第一节(共 15 小题;每小题 1 分,满分 15 分)阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的 A、B、C 和 D 四个选项中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。Tommy Rhomberg was a twelve-year-old young boy in Iowa. When I was little I was very interested in English. Ilearned English at school. There was a good teacher who was not a native English speaker. Hetaught French and German, but he really spoke English quite well. It was funny because I was theonly student in his class — it was really a private lesson. I had an excellent course book. I stillkeep a copy of it. The front cover was red with a lovely picture. And it was very modern. LearningEnglish was quite easy for me because the teacher was so good and he helped a lot. Also,I'm quitegood at learning languages. It was really enjoyable to have English classes with the teacher. Iloved the sound of the words. I felt really proud when my spelling improved day by day and Icould read a short story. In the middle school, English was still my favourite subject. I even stayedin America for one year as an exchange student. I learned a lot there, not only English but differentcultures.4{#{QQABTQKEggigABJAAQgCUQGyCAKQkgCCCQgOAEAAMAAACRNABAA=}#} 展开更多...... 收起↑ 资源列表 高一10月月考 英语答案.pdf 高一10月月考 英语试题 .pdf
