There be 句型
There be ...句型表示的是“某处有(存在) 某人或某物”。
1. 肯定句结构:There be (is,are)+名词+地点状语
e.g. 在我的铅笔盒里有两块橡皮。

在房子前有一棵大树。
_____ __ a tall tree in front of the house.
2. 否定句结构:There isn’t / aren’t…
e.g. 大桥街上没有银行。______ _____ a bank on Bridge Street.

3.一般疑问句结构:Is/ Are + 主语 +…
肯定回答:Yes, there is/are.
否定回答:No, there isn’t/aren’t.

4.there be句型一般现在时的特殊疑问句由“特殊疑问词+is/are+there+地点状语”构成,有时地点状语可省略。答语不能用Yes或No,需根据情况直接回答。
e.g.—How many apples are there in the bag?包里有多少苹果?

there be与have/has的区别
there be 和have都可译为汉语里的“有”,但有区别:
1) there be 结构表示的是“某地有某物/人”, 强调“存在关系”; have表示“某人/ 物所有”, 强调“所属关系”。
如: There is a bus in our factory. (公共汽车不一定是属于我们工厂所有的)
Our factory has a bus. (公共汽车是属于我们工厂所有的)
2.当表示某物的构成和组成部分时, 用there be 和have均可。例如:
Our school has twenty classes.
(= There are twenty classes in our school.)
如何问路和指路
(1) 句型: Where is /are...... 意为“某物或某人在哪里?”。
*where 是特殊疑问词,“哪里,某地”询问地点.
*where引导疑问句,主谓要求倒装,且be动词必须与后面的主语保持一致.
e.g. --Where is the hotel --It’s behind the police station.
--Where’s the bank --It’s next to the post office.
(2) Can you tell me the way to the Summer Hotel 你能告诉我去夏日旅馆的路吗?
(3)How can I get to the nearest post office 请问到最近的邮局怎么走?
