idea [a 'd ] n. 主意
I have an idea! Let's play hide and seek. 我有一个主意！我们来玩捉迷藏吧。
I have no idea. 我不知道。
Going to the park this weekend is a good idea.
这个周末去公园是个好主意。
a little [ 'l tl] 少许 （用于不可数名词之前）
There is still a little milk in the fridge. 冰箱里还有一点点牛奶。
Please give me a little water. 请给我一点水。
teaspoonful ['ti spu nf l] n. 一满茶匙
spoon n. 匙；调羹
teaspoon n. 茶匙；小匙
tablespoon n. 汤匙

less [les] adj. ( little 的比较级）较少的，更小的
She drinks less coffee than before.
她现在喝的咖啡比以前少了。
a few [ fju ] 几个（用于可数名词之前）
She has a few friends in the class. 她在班里有几个朋友。
pity ['p ti] n. 遗憾
What a pity! 真遗憾！
It's a pity (that)+句子
It's a pity you didn't come to the party.你没来参加聚会，真遗憾。
It's a pity that he missed the game. 他错过了比赛，真遗憾。
instead [ n'sted] adv. 代替
I didn't have breakfast，so I ate an apple instead.
我没吃早饭，所以我吃了个苹果来代替。
He is too busy, let me go instead.
他太忙了，让我去吧。
instead of：介词短语，意为“代替，而不是”，后面跟名词、代词或动名词。
Let's play chess instead of watching TV.
让我们来下象棋，而不是看电视。
He used a knife instead of chopsticks. 他不用筷子而是用刀吃饭。
We should stay at home instead of going to the movie.我们应该呆在家里而不是去看电影。
advice [ d'va s] n. 建议，忠告 (不可数名词）
Can you give me some advice 你能给我一些建议吗？

most [m st] adj. (many, much的最高级）最多的
Studying on our own brings the most knowledge.
自己钻研可带来最多的知识。
Most students in this class are fifteen. 这个班的大多数学生都十五岁。

least [li st] (little的最高级） 最小的，最少的
The greatest talkers are always the least doers.
大言不惭的总是做得最少的人。

Lesson 109 课文讲解
1. Shall I make some coffee, Jane 我来煮点咖啡好吗, 简？
1). shall I/we ...表示征求意见或建议
Shall we go for a walk after dinner
我们晚饭后去散步好吗？
Shall I open the window
我可以打开窗户吗？
2). 由make 构成的短语：
What make is it n. 品牌
make the bed 整理床铺
make a bookcase 制作一个书架
make the tea 沏茶
make some coffee 冲咖啡
make a shopping list 写购物清单
make a snowman 堆雪人
make friends with 和......交朋友
make a cake 做蛋糕
make a noise 制造噪音
make money 挣钱
make a film 拍电影
2．Just a little， please．请稍加一点儿。
a little (=some)，一些／一点，用于修饰不可数名词。
a little money/ water/coffee 一点儿钱／水／咖啡
3. No, less than that. 比那稍微少一些
that 指上文中的two teaspoonfuls
4．One and a half teaspoonfuls， please．请放一勺儿半。
在英语中，比1大的东西，即使比2小，也需用复数表示。
half an hour 半小时
one and a half hours=one/an hour and a half 一个半小时
one and a half days= one/a day and a half 一天半
5. I'd like a cigarette, too. May I have one 我还想抽只烟。可以给我一支吗？
1).I'd =I would
I'd like ... 我想要
I'd like a glass of water, please.
I'd like to go to the zoo with my family this weekend.
2). “May I” 是一个礼貌用语，常用于请求许可或征求同意的场合。
它表示“我可以...吗？”的意思
May I use your pen 我可以用你的笔吗？
May I ask you a question 我可以问你一个问题吗？
May I have your attention, please 请注意听我说。
6．It doesn't matter．没关系。这是表示此意的几种常用说法之一。
7. Have a biscuit instead. 那就吃块饼干吧。
instead：副词，意为“代替；反而；却”，修饰整个句子，位于句首或句末。
I'm hungry. Instead, I'll have a sandwich.
我饿了。但我决定吃个三明治代替。
We've no coffee. Would you like tea instead 我们没有咖啡了。你要喝茶吗？
8. Eat more and smoke less! 多吃点儿，少抽点儿！
v.+比较级
仿造句子：
Sleep more and stay up late less! 多睡会儿，少熬夜！
Exercise more and sit less! 多运动，少坐着！
Read more and watch TV less! 多读书，少看电视！
Laugh more and cry less! 多笑笑，少哭鼻子！

Lesson 109-110 语法
1. 四个“少” a little , little, a few, few 的区别
1). few和 a few 后接可数名词的复数形式。
few "几乎没有"，含有否定意义
a few "有几个“， 含有肯定意义
I have got few friends in the city so I am lonely. 我在这个城市几乎没有朋友，因此觉得很孤独。
He has a few good friends so he is happy. 他有几个好朋友，所以他很快乐。
The maths problem is too hard. Few students can work it out.
这道数学题太难了。几乎没有学生能解出来。
The maths problem is so hard that only a few students can work it out. 这道数学题太难了，只有少数学生能解出来。
2） little 和 a little 后接不可数名词
little "几乎没有"，含有否定意义
a little "有一些“， 含有肯定意义
比如，我想煮个泡面，还有一点水够煮面，用 a little. 不够煮用 little.
There is only a little water in the bottle．瓶子里只有一点水。
He knows little English. 他几乎不懂英语。
注意：only 后一般加 a little 或 a few
2．不规则形容词的比较级和最高级
好：good/well----better----best
坏：bad----worse----worst
多：many/much----more----most
少：little----less----least（不可数）
few----fewer----fewest（可数）
He makes more money than before.他赚的比从前更多了。
You've got more biscuits than I have.你的饼干比我的多。
I have less money than you, but I have more friends than you.
我的钱比你少，但我朋友比你多。
比较级+and + 比较级 ：越来越......
fatter and fatter 越来越胖
more beautiful and more beautiful
=more and more beautiful 越来越漂亮
less and less expensive 越来越便宜
