一、语篇研读
本课语篇基于项目学习如何使用字典。2a要求学生翻开英语词典，观察词典中单词排列的基本模式。2b要求学生按照字母顺序给单词编号。2c是一场查字典比赛。通过学习查英语词典，了解词典是学习英语的重要工具。
二、教学目标
通过本课时学习，学生能够：
1.通过阅读语篇和教师引导分析，明确词典页面布局，提取关键信息，概括词汇顺序；
2.通过分析与判断所给词汇顺序，正确排序单词；
3.根据英语的字母顺序，查字典，查找单词释义，例句等信息；
4.通过小组合作和竞赛游戏，熟练运用英语词典并将其运用到日常英语学习中。
三、教学过程
教学目标 学习活动 效果评价
通过分析与判断所给词汇顺序，正确排序单词。 学生观看knowledge和information两个生词，并思考遇到生词该怎么办。 头脑风暴。学生思考并说出关于英语字典的信息 完成2a，找出英语字典中单词排列顺序，教师引导学生总结英语字典中单词排列顺序。 做字母排列小游戏，回顾26个字母顺序，完成2b。 教师观察学生能否参与互动和交流，主动分享个人对该主题已有的知识、经验，并根据需要调整提问方式，进行追问或给予鼓励。 教师观察学生在字母排序方面是否有困难，及时给予引导与鼓励。
设计意图：本阶段学习活动通过对英语字典页面的分析，学生能够了解英语字典中单词的排列顺序，并且能够正确排序单词。利用图片、视频和文本资源，激发学生对英语学习的好奇心，引导学生正确认识字典的用途，并学会选择适合自己需求的英文字典。
通过阅读语篇和教师引导分析，明确词典页面布局，提取关键信息，概括词汇顺序。 根据英语的字母顺序，查字典，查找单词释义，例句等信息。 学生认识词典页面布局，提取更多单词关键信息。 学生拿出自己的字典，教师引领学生认识字典的布局及关键信息。 学生自己查阅字典，了解单词含义并获取更多信息。 教师观察学生能否明确英语字典的页面布局及其关键信息，能否独立查阅字典，给予必要的引导与鼓励。 观察学生能否快速、正确地按字母顺序为所给单词排序编号，教师以此来判断接下来的教学进度及学生的内化程度。
设计意图：本阶段学习活动旨在通过对英语字典页面的分析，学生能够明确字典页面布局，获取单词关键信息，进而能够自己查阅字典。通过引导学生观察教材所提供的字典页面图片，渗透扫读等阅读策略，引导学生弄清字典上的单词排列顺序规律，并明确字典页面信息，为下一步小组合作学习做好准备工作。
通过小组合作和竞赛游戏，熟练运用英语词典并将其运用到日常英语学习中。 小组合作竞赛，查生词速比赛，完成2c。 学生自己去查阅knowledge和information两个生词单词含义及关键信息，从而引出Samuel Johnson的名言警句。 观察学生能否有效在小组内开展活动，根据查阅字典的情况，给与指导或鼓励。
设计意图：本阶段学习活动旨在通过小组竞赛活动，锻炼学生查阅字典能力，激发学生学习兴趣，并让学生了解字典的重要性。通过小组比赛查字典，并对要查找的单词内容作出具体要求，如查释义和词性，让学生在真实情境中内化所学知识，熟练运用所学到的方法。另外，学生尝试在学习共同体中合作完成学习任务，为今后的英语合作学习奠定基础。
