学情分析 The grammar section of this article mainly focuses on the verb - ed, which uses the past participle as an adverb. The vocabulary section consists of words and phrases related to interpersonal communication, guiding students to collect relevant expressions and expand their vocabulary. In addition, this exercise can also help students improve their listening skills and enhance their language comprehension ability in practical writing. 教学重难点 1. Express interpersonal communication in the target language; 2. Understand the logical relationship and structure of the article, and comprehend the writing intention of the article; 3. Grammar Let students complete the following activities. Activity-1 Look at the sentences from the reading and answer the questions. Activity-2 Compare them with the following sentences and answer the questions. And look for more sentences with-ed as adverbial in the reading passage. Activity-3 Rewrite the underlined sentences with the -ed form. Activity-4 Read the plot summary and choose the correct form of the words. Get straight to the point and guide students on the grammar content of this lesson, training their ability to learn independently.
Vocabulary Let students complete the following activities. Activity-1 Read the tips and underline the words that describe behaviour towards others. Activity-2 Describe the situations with the words you underline in last activity. Activity-3 Work in pairs. Discuss what you would react in the following situations and explain your reasons. Help students improve their self-learning ability in order to better master words and phrases. Train students to apply the new words from this lesson in practical writing, making it memorable, easy to remember, and accurately apply.
Listening Guide students in pre-listening, while-listening, poat-listening processes. Pre-listening 1)Read “Did You Know and learn more information about EO. 2)Listen to the listening material first time and get the general understanding of the conversations. Through multi-level listening training of extensive listening and intensive listening, students can have a preliminary understanding of listening materials, exercise their understanding of the surface meaning of articles, develop good listening habits, and improve their listening skills. And help students organize language responses to pre and post listening questions.
While-listening Listen to the three conversations and match them to the pictures.
3.Deep-listening Listen again and complete the table. And talk about how the speakers make requests and refusals. Listen again if necessary.
4. Post-listening 1)Read the tips “Learning to learn” 2)Work in pairs. Act out the conversations about asking for a favour and refusing politely. 3)Work in pairs. Think of another situation and have a similar conversation.
Homework Let students do their homework. Review new words and phrases learned in this period. Surf the Internet to find more expressions about interpersonal relationships. Consolidate the knowledge learned today.
