一 .教学目标
1. 听说认读单词big. small.
2. 在创设的情境中正确运用本课句型Look at the elephant. It has big ears. 能正确运用It has …句型描述动物的外表特征
3. 培养学生与同伴合作的意识，及爱惜动物的情操。
二、 教学重点：big. small.
Look at the elephant. It has big ears.
三、教学难点: To master the new pattern and use it correctly and freely in real situation
四、教具：多媒体课件辅助
五、教学过程
（一）. Revision
唱歌曲Head shoulders knees and toes，活跃课堂气氛的同时，复习学过的五官单词，为新授准备
（二）Presentation
1. T: How’s the weather today Ss：It’s sunny.
T: Shall we go to the zoo Ss：…
T: What animals can you see in the zoo Ss：…学生回答大象时教师说：Look at the elephant. It’s big. 新授单词big 板书认读，拼读。学生回答猴子时，教师说：Look at the monkey. It’s small.与大象对比学习small 板书认读，拼读。
2. 学习chant
认读chant 教师示范，学生齐说。
3. T: Peter goes to the zoo with his dad and sister . what do they see Let’s have a look!
展示课文，跟读，齐读，角色读
4. T: Let’s have a rest and sing a song .学习歌曲 The opposite song.可以加入手势
（三）. Practice
1.根据图片内容填入合适的词
2.小组内描述动物特征，然后班内展示
3.做质量检测听力及重点试题
4.观看动物图片，号召学生爱护动物，与动物和谐相处
（四）.Homework
1. Recite the passage and words of this lesson
2. Try to describe the animals or person around you
