（1）“What's today ”用来提问今天是几号、星期几，通常是回答星期和日期的。如果问“今天星期几 ”，应用“What day is it today ”。如果问“今天几号？”，应用“What's the date
today "。如：
①-What day is it today 今天星期几 --It's Friday.星期五。
②-What's the date today 今天几号 --It's October 1st.10月1日。
（2）“It's Monday the 14th.”中的it表示时间，不能翻译成“它”。在回答完整的有星期又有日期的句子中，星期在前，月、日、年在后，如果有时间点，也要写在后面。如：
It is on Thursday, June 25th at 4:30 p. m.在6月25日，星期四，下午4：30。
知识拓展：it除可用来表示时间外，还可用来表示天气、距离等，一般不译出。如：
It isn't very cold today.(it表示天气）今天不是很冷。

这是一个感叹句，它的结构是“What+a/an+adj.+可数名词的单数形式（+主语+谓语）！”。如：

what 引导的感叹句还可以这样构成：“What+adj.+可数名词复数形式/不可数名词（+主语+谓语）！”。如：What tall buildings!多高的楼房啊！

情态动词can有一定的词义，但不能单独使用，它必须与动词原形一起构成谓语。情态动词can
没有人称和数的变化。本单元我们主要学习情态动词can表示请求和可能性的用法。
1.can表示请求时，可用来发出邀请，这时答语比较灵活。如果接受邀请，答语可用“Sure./
Certainly./Of course,I can./Sure,I'd love to./That would be nice./I'd like that,thanks."等;
如果拒绝邀请,答语可用“Sorry,I have to..…/I'm afraid not./Sorry,I can't./I'd love to, but I
have to..."等。如：
（1）--Can you go shopping with me this Saturday 本周六你能和我一起去购物吗？
--Yes,I'd love to.好的，我很乐意去。
（2）--Can you come to my birthday party 你能来我的生日聚会吗
--Sorry,I have to study for my English test.对不起，我得准备英语测试。
2.can表示可能性时，可用来询问打听第三方能否参加某项活动。肯定回答为：Yes，主语+
can.；否定回答为：No，主语+can't.。如：
(1)—Can he come to my house tonight 今晚他能来我家吗
--Yes,he can.是的，他能来。
(2）—Can they go to the factory tomorrow morning 明天早上他们能去工厂吗
--No,they can't.不，他们不能。
知识拓展：（1）常见的情态动词除can外，还有may，must，will，should等。情态动词在使
用过程中，有各自的含义。must含有命令、禁止的语气。will含有意愿、打算之意。should含
有建议、要求之意。
（2）情态动词的问答基本形式：
①-Can I... -Yes, you can./No, you can't.
