Teaching Objectives
After the lesson,students are able to:
1.understand the dialogue between Eddie and Hobo.
2.master the new words: biscuit,cookie,lorry,truck, eraser, rubber, movie, film, garden, yard, holiday, vacation, store, fall, autumn.

Difficult points: Distinguishing the words with the same meaning, but the different forms( British English/American English)

Step1
ⅠLeading
1.Greeting
T: Good morning boys and girls! How are you guys!
Ss: We are fine! And you
T: I’m fine too! Then how about your school life
Ss:Great!
T: Good boys! So let us come to our new lesson, and enjoy our school life!
Purpose: to active the class.
2.Showing the teaching objectives
T: Now, let’s learn about the teaching objectives.
(make students read new words together)
Purpose: to have a good understanding of the content.
Ⅱ Presentation
1.Learning the new words by guessing
T:Present a sentence describe with Chinese, like“我跑的很快！”，and let students guess its meaning
Ss: 卡车！
T：How to speak “卡车”in English then
Ss: lorry!
T: Anything else
Ss: truck!
T: Well done!(showing the new words with phonetic symbol after guessing)
Purpose:to attract the students and active the class.
2.look and say
T: Next, let’s play a game. When I show the pictures, you speak out the words,let see who is fastest! Are you ready!
Ss: Yes!
Purpose: to review the words.

4.Checking the answers.
5.read the words together, and try to remember.
Purpose：(3—5): from learning to use
Ⅲ Distinguishing British English and American English
1.Game time!
游戏名：《你说一，我说一》
道具：一个盒子
规则：拿到盒子的人说出一个单词，接到盒子的人说出这个词是属于“British English” 或者 “American English”. 用“B”来代表“British English” ，用“A”表示“American English”。
Purpose: active the class and practice.
2.look and write
Look at the pictures and write down its expressing with British English and American English.
3.let two students enjoy their answers.
4.Read and find(在句子中找出刚才所出现的单词）
T: present the sentences underlined and let students find out the words students have learned:
1. I’m going to buy a toy eraser for my cousin.
2. I'd like to buy some cookie.
3. I want to see a film.
4. School football team will practise this Saturday.
5. We have an important match this fall.
Ss: do as the teacher asks.
Purpose: 进一步巩固词义的辨别。
Ⅳ Learning of part B
1.T: You are so great! Now, let’s come to the part B, let listen the conversation between Daniel and Simon. And fine out the words we have learned, OK
Ss:OK!
T: Play the tape.
(students do as teacher says)
Reading the conversation follow the tape.
T:Now is your turn to find out the words we have learned just now, have your find out
Ss:Yes!(let one to two students to give their answers)
Purpose: learning how to make the sentence with the new words.
5.Practise : filling in the underline
Daniel: Hi, Simon. Where are you
Simon: I’m going to buy a toy lorry for my cousin in the shop near our school.
Daniel: I’ll with you. I’d like to some biscuits.
Simon: Do you have any for weekend
Daniel: I want to see a . Shall we go together
Simon: I’d love to , but the school will practise this Saturday. We have an match this

1.T: Great! From the dialogue, we have learn about the school life between Denial and Simon. How about Eddie and Hobo What do they thin about the school life Do you want to know
Ss: Of course!
T: Good boys! Now lat look at the page 18, and learn about the conversation between Eddie and Hobo.
2.listen to the tape and answer the questions:
Q: 1. What does Eddie think of the school
Q:2.Why don't dogs go to school
3.let students answer the questions
4.read the conversation together.
5.Free reading and try to remember the dialogues.
6.Retell the dialogues with their new words.
Homework:
1. Search online for more differences between British English and American English.
2. Finish the exercises in your exercises book
