It is funny because nearly everything related to the American president Trump is made in China. Students are asked to share their own things with foreign brands made in China. To lead in the topic “made in China”, stimulate active learning and arouse students’ interest in the lesson.Transition T: A boy took a trip to the USA, and he wanted to buy some local products. Can his wish come true Let’s find out some information in today’s passage.While-reading 20mins Activity 1: Predicting Look at the picture and read the title. T: What information can you get from the picture T: What is key word in the title and why To prepare for the reading and arouse students’ interest; to lead in the key word “difficult”.Activity 2: Fast reading Skim the passage and answer questions, like “Who is mentioned ”, “What is the passage mainly about ” To help students get the key information by skimming and get the main idea.Activity 3: Careful reading Task 1: Listen and complete the facts about Kang Jian. Task 2: Read the passage and find out the 2 things he wanted to buy. Task 3: Underline what happened when he bought the 2 products. Task 4: Read again and answer the following questions. To train students scanning skills and help them get a better understanding of the passage.Post-reading 5mins Activity 1: Interview Now Kang Jian comes back from the US. Suppose one student is Kang Jian the other students are the reporter from ZYTV. Ask and answer questions about Kang Jian’s facts, shopping experience, feelings and wishes.
