(2)To be able to know something about Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.(学习理解) 2. 基于知识框架: The students will be able to tell the story with the help of the words and expressions. 课堂导入 Step 1 Warming up T play a song video about the passive voice, then asks Ss to chant together. Ss watch the video and chant together.
课程导学 Step 2. Presentation 1.Let Ss to read the sentences and ask them find out the differences. (1)We’re still influenced by Confucius’s ideas. (2)He was invited to competitions around the world. Read the sentences .
Step 2 Grammar T shows the sentences and then explains the difference between the simple present passive voice and the past tense in the passive voice, the structures and the usage of the past tense in the passive voice, meanwhile giving some examples and exercises to help Ss understand it. The Past Simple Passive Voice 1. 句式结构: (1)肯定句: 主语+was/were+及物动词的过去分词(+ by+动作执行者) The letter was written by Jim. 这封信是吉姆写的。 (2)否定句: 主语+was/were not+及物动词的过去分词(+by+动作执行者) The letter wasn’t written by Jim. 这封信不是吉姆写的。 (3)一般疑问句: Was/Were+主语+及物动词的过去分词(+by+动作执行者)? Was the letter written by Jim 这封信是吉姆写的吗? (4)特殊疑问句: 疑问词+was/were+(主语+)及物动词的过去分词(+by+动作执行者)? When was the letter written by Jim 这封信是吉姆何时写的? 2. 含有动词不定式作宾语补足语的主动句变被动句的情况 主动句中含有动词不定式作宾语补足语时,要把主动语态中的宾语变为被动语态的主语,宾语补足语的位置 2.Learn the structures and the usage of the past tense in the passive voice. 把下列句子变成被动语态。 1 She watered the flowers this morning. The flowers ___________________ by her this morning. 2 I saw them swim in the sea. They ___________________ swim in the sea. 3 The doctor told my father not to smoke any more. My father ___________________ smoke any more. Answers:1 were watered 2 were seen to 3 was told not to
不变。 The school encouraged Liu Xiang to train for the high jump. 学校鼓励刘翔训练跳高。 →被动句:Liu Xiang was encouraged to train for the high jump. 【注意】当省略to的动词不定式作宾语补足语时,变为被动语态时要把动词不定式的to补上。 The boss made him complete the work in two hours. 老板要他两小时内完成工作。 →被动句:He was made to complete the work in two hours (by the boss). Step 3 Practice Grammar exercise Ask Ss to do some grammar exercises in the textbook(Activity1,2,4,5) and then check the answers together. Step 4 Listening and speaking Work on Activity 6~7. Ask Ss to listen and check (√) the true sentences. 1) Betty is reading a book about Chen Zhong. 2)Chen Zhong found her training difficult when she first started doing taekwondo. 3)Chen Zhong did not win a gold medal at the Sydney Olympic Games. 2. Let Ss listen again and choose the correct answer. 1) What did Chen Zhong do before she changed to taekwondo a) She did a project on the Internet. 3.Finish the exercise in the text book and then check the answers together. 4.Listen and check (√) the true sentences. 5.Listen again and choose the correct answer.

Look at the pictures and tell the story with the help of the words and expressions under the pictures. 4.Let Ss do a class sports survey Step 5 Reading Around the world Ask Ss to read the passage about the Paralympic Games and think about the questions: (1)Which paragraph tells us the origin of the Paralympic games (2)When was the modern Paralympic games born (3)Which Paralympic games is the best one Step 6 Summary Lead the students to summarize what they have learned today. 6.Ss work in groups and look at the pictures and tell the story with the help of the words and expressions under the pictures. 7.Work in groups. Write questions in the table to find out about the sports that your classmates like to watch or do. Show the result of your survey. 8.Read the passage and answer the questions. 9.Summarize what you have learned today.
