Based on Eric and Sarah's exchange experience, the text talks about the place they lived, the activities they attended both in school and out of school, and how they felt.There are four parts: Eric's experience, Sarah's experience, students' activities andSarah's plans.

Step one: Review from the textbook Activity 1 : Students get a review of Eric and Sarah’s exchange visit by answering the questions. 1.How did Eric and Sarah feel 2.What have Eric and Sarah done 3.What have Eric and Sarah got and learnt. Observe how fast students can answer the questions and decide how much they have mastered from the text.
Purpose: Familiarize students with the text again and lead them to summarize the key phrases and good sentences.
Step two: pre-writing Activity 2: Watch the video and lead in the writing task. Activity 3: recall the memory and help Amy review her exchange visit from two aspects: what has she done on weekdays and what has she done at the weekend. Observe whether students understand the writing task. Observe how many activities they can mention and guide them to think more.
Lead students to recall the exchange visit, and inspire them to think of more ideas of the exchange visit.
Step three: while-writing Activity 4: Analyze the request and show the details of the writing task. Observe the quality of their writing.
Activity 5: students write the article by themselves
Purpose: Let students put what they have learnt into practice.
Step four: while-writing Activity6: Peer-editing Help students with their writing
Step five: group assessment Give an assessment according to the criteria given in groups. Use score to show the results of assessment of their writing
Purpose: Make sure students know the criteria clearly and lead them to learn how to revise.
homework Homework finish it after class. Level A: Polish your writing. Level B: Draw a mind map to summarize what we've learned today. Optional: Use the written article as the script to make a vlog of the experience.
Purpose: Consolidate what we've learned.
