Using correct pronouns to replace nouns. Introducing a friend or teacher orally. 2. Difficult points Correctly using various pronouns in different contexts. Describing a person's characteristics and activities fluently in English. 三、Teaching Methods 1. Task-based teaching method: Design various tasks to guide students to complete the learning objectives. 2. Communicative teaching method: Encourage students to communicate and interact with each other to practice language skills. 3. Reading and writing combined method: Enhance students' language comprehension and output ability through reading and writing exercises. 四、Teaching Procedure Step 1: Warming up (5 minutes) 1. Greet the students and have a brief chat with them about their new school life. T: Hello, everyone! How's your new school life going Ss: Fine, thank you! T: Are you making new friends Ss: Yes! 2. Show some pictures of a school and ask students to describe what they see. T: Look at these pictures. What can you see Ss: We can see classrooms, teachers, and students. T: Great! So today, let's continue to learn about our new school and new beginnings. Step 2: Presentation (10 minutes) 1. Present the questions in Activity 1 and ask students to think about their answers. T: Now, let's look at the first activity. Who is your best friend And what does he/she like to do Think about it and you can share with your classmates later. 2. Have students read the passage in Activity 2 silently and then write the names of the people in the photo. T: Please read the passage carefully and write down the names of the people mentioned. After that, I'll ask some of you to share your answers. 3. Check the answers and explain the key points and difficult sentences in the passage. T: Let's see the answers. Who got them all right Now, let's look at some important sentences. For example, 'She often gives us lots of help.' What does this sentence mean Step 3: Practice (10 minutes) 1. Have students do Activity 3. Replace the parts in yellow with proper pronouns and complete the table. T: Now, let's do Activity 3. Replace the words in yellow with the right pronouns and fill in the table. Work in pairs and help each other. 2. Invite some pairs to share their answers and correct if necessary. T: Which pair wants to share your answers Pair 1: For the first one, we think it should be 'him'. T: Well done. Let's check the others. Step 4: Production (10 minutes) 1. Have students complete Activity 4. Fill in the blanks with the words from the table. T: Now, it's time to complete Activity 4. Use the words from the table to fill in the blanks. 2. Ask individual students to read their answers and explain their choices. T: Who wants to read your answers S1: I think the first blank should be 'It'. Because 'it' refers to the school. T: Good thinking. Step 5: Group Work and Presentation (5 minutes) 1. Ask students to introduce one of their new friends or teachers to their partner as in Activity 5. T: Now, work in pairs. Introduce one of your new friends or teachers to your partner. 2. Invite some pairs to come to the front and present their introductions to the class. T: Let's listen to some pairs' introductions. Who wants to come first Step 6: Summary and Homework (5 minutes) 1. Summarize the key points of this lesson. 2. Assign homework: Write a short passage about your new school life, including at least one friend or teacher.
