课标分解 1.能通过听对话，选择或说出对话的主题、记录天气等关键信息； 2.能通过阅读对话，熟悉温度的表达以及运用might/may/probably对天气进行猜测； 3. 能在语境中猜出生词的意思，不妨碍听和阅读的理解。
语篇 研读 本单元以“天气”为主要话题，属于“人与自然”范畴，主题群“自然生态”，子主题是“天气状况与日常生活”。 What：本语篇是Betty,Daming,Tony 和lingling 这四人对不同地方的天气特征的日常对话，由Tony 问Betty打算做什么开始讨论，再一步一步引出美国、英国气温天气状况的不同，以及在运用相关的语言知识，如might,probably 来描述与预测澳大利亚与海南的天气状况。 Why: Betty,Daming,Tony 和lingling 这四人之间关于天气与气温的对话是非常贴合现实生活情景的，培养学生运用相关的语言知识到到实践中去，培养学生能听懂天气预报以及对天气状况的描述与预测，再通过谈论不同地方的天气状况引发学生的思考，引导学生关注天气，选择合适的天气参加生活中的活动，享受生活。 How：该对话是比较典型的学生日常生活对话，内容以天气为话题开展而来，涉及许多关于天气及温度的词汇，如cloudy,shower,snow,storm,etc.;也包括问天气和温度以及描述与预测天气状况的核心语言，如What’s the temperature What’s the weather like in America in winter It’s probably sunny and hot there.由于是同学间的日常对话，体现了非正式的主要特征，如Are、re you joking Not usually. Cone on,better get going! 对话课分为两部分，第一部分主要是四人谈论天气及温度，谈论美国和英国天气的不同。第二部分主要是Tony 和Betty 表达对晴朗天气的喜爱及对澳大利亚和海南天气的预测与描述后，玲玲给他们的建议。
学情 分析 在本课中，温度的表达以及运用might/may/probably对天气进行猜测，属于新知和重点内容，需要教师通过创造情境，并以活动为
载体，将词汇与句型融会贯通。 八年级的学生在英语学习上开始出现两极分化，因而教师需要特别注意课堂的趣味性，同时兼顾扎实训练，缓解两极分化的情况。
学习 目标 通过本课时学习，学生能够： 1. 在语境中猜测意思并认读下列词汇：cloud，snow, storm, skate, thick, ice, joke, might, temperature等词汇 2. 能通过听对话，选择或说出对话的主题、听懂天气预报，记录天气等关键信息； 3．通过听和阅读对话，说出大意、记录关键信息、细节信息并简述对话内容； 4. 通过了解世界上部分国家的天气情况，为外出旅游做好准备
