I’m Lily. I take a trip to France with my friends. Before the trip, we learn something about France. France is in the west of Europe. Its capital is Paris. The flag of France has 3 colours: blue, white and red. People in France speak French.
After arriving in France, we visit the Eiffel Tower (埃菲尔铁塔). It is a famous building in France. It is about 330 metres tall. It weighs 10,100 tons. It has 3 floors. When we stand at the top of the tower, we can see many things. It is sunny, so we can see for miles. We take many photos there. On the first and second floors, there are restaurants. We also have lunch and get a good rest.
On the second day, we visit the Louvre Museum. There are many famous paintings in it like the Mona Lisa. We enjoy the paintings and learn more about art.
On the last day of our trip, we go shopping together. There are lots of clothes stores in Paris. I buy a purple dress for my mother because purple is her favourite colour. One of my friends buys a T-shirt as her father’s birthday gift.
The trip is interesting and we have a good time.

The Vatican City State (梵蒂冈城国) is the smallest country in the world. It is only 0.44 square kilometres. It’s as big as Tian’anmen Square in Beijing.
There are over 700 people in the country. They speak both Italian and Latin (拉丁语). The Vatican Museums are more than 500 years old. Although the Vatican City State is very small, it’s so beautiful. There are many churches and gardens.
It has winters from December to February and hot and dry summers from June to August. Because it is very small, there are no airports or highways. The Vatican City State is within Rome, the capital city of Italy, so visitors have to go to Italy first before they go there.
