M: Thank you all for being here today. For those who don't know me- I'm Paul, the eldest son of Lucy's five children. Today I'm here to celebrate Lucy and everything she's achieved on her 63rd birthday, Mum was horn in England on Oetober 16th, 1961. She returned there, aged 16, to begin nursing training, which she said was the only thing she ever wanted to do. My grandmother always said that, even as a small child,she spent most of her time foreing her two brothers to play "patient" inher "hospital",and in her school reports, teachers always commented on how caring and capable she was. She passed her training with excellent performance and started her career as a registered nurse. She married my dad, Erie, in 1981, I arrived soon after, followed by twins John and Michael, our sister Belinda, and finally, George. As a mother, she was endlessly kind and a hage amount of fun! And she hasn't changed. Now that she's retired, she enjoys travelling,playing with her three granddaughters,and has even taken up flying lessons!
