　　Peru is famously known as the “land of the Incas”. A trip to Peru had been on my wish list for quite a while. It was finally time for me to visit the country.
My first day started in Lima, the capital of Peru. I met with the G Adventures representative(代表)of the tour here. G Adventures is an organization that helps you to connect with other like-minded people in small group-based travel adventures. It played a big part in helping to make Peru an unforgettable experience for me! A creative program using gardening connected with mentorship (导师制) is changing the lives of students. The program, trying to help students with study problems or misbehavior in schools, will soon be making its way into more Clark County schools.
Students who take part in the program are usually introduced by school advisors who think it may do students good. Parker, head of the program, said that they let the students know what they are joining, and make sure they understand what they’re getting into and that it’s a good fit. The chosen students attend the class during their normal school days, rather than after school.
