教学设计理念
依据《新课标》（2017）提出的基于六要素整合、指向学科核心素养发展的英语学习活动观。 活动是英语学习的基本形式，是学习者学习和尝试运用语言理解与表达意义，培养文化意识，发展多元思维，形成学习能力的主要途径。本节课基于六要素整合、指向学科核心素养发展的英语学习活动观，设计了学习理解，应用实践，迁移创新等不同层次的思维活动，旨在帮助学生获取文本信息，引导学生加深对主题意义的理解，帮助学生在活动中习得语言知识、文化知识，发展运用语言技能，提升思维品质，进而尝试在新的语境中运用所学语言和文化知识，创造性地表达个人观点、情感和态度，最终达到提高学生英语学科能力，落实核心素养。 2、依据《新课标》提出的处理好教学评的关系以达到以评促教、以评促学的目的。 在实际教学中，教师应处理好评价与教和学之间的关系，推动教、学、评一体化实施。教学评价是英语课程的重要组成部分，其目的是促进英语学习，改善英语教学，完善课程设计，监控学业质量。本节课中教学评价贯穿在教学实践的各个环节，综合运用问答、课堂观察、作品分析等方式收集学生学习和发展的数据信息做出评价，通过评价使学生在英语学习过程中不断体验进步与成功，认识自我，建立自信，调整学习策略，以此促进学生英语学科核心素养的全面发展。

学情分析
This passage should be taught as grade 11 students.After the previous class, most students in the second year of high school have a certain understanding and language accumulation of the connotation and necessity of first aid. They have a certain knowledge of first aid and are full of interest in this topic, which provides favorable conditions for the study of this class. In addition, they have rich imagination and active thinking. After a year of high school English learning, they have a certain foundation of English language, but their oral English expression ability is still weak. At the same time, due to the lack of vocabulary and insufficient reading skills training, their ability to understand the article is still lacking, and they need to further practice reading skills. It is necessary for teachers to design graded and targeted activities, from shallow to deep, to stimulate students' interest in learning, so that they can learn to participate in learning, learn and reflect in participation, so that students can start with perceptual understanding and gradually rise to rational understanding, and cultivate students' ability to express in English.

Read and Judge True or False by cooperating with your group members. Fire knocked over a cup of boiling water onto a girl’s hand. Her hand became red, swollen and covered with blisters. Fire broke the blisters and poured icy water from the fridge onto the skin. While ironing(熨烫) clothes, Miss Good accidentally touched the iron. Her wrist blistered and became watery. It hurt a lot. She put her wrist under the cold water tap and then kept placing cool, clean, damp cloths on it until it was less painful. Then she went to see the doctor. After an hour in the sun, Lily noticed her arms were red and hurt a bit. She went home and put them under running water. Activity2. Provide first aid for burns by cooperating with your group members. The boy’s wound belongs to the First-degree burns, because these affect only the top few millimeters of the skin. The burns are not serious.Its characteristics are red, mildly swollen, turn white when pressed. What should we do 2. The little girl’s wound belongs to the second- degree burns, which caused by fire . The burns are go below the top layer of the skin. They are serious. The characteristics are red and swollen, blisters , watery surface. Extremely painful. What should we do 3. We can know SpongeBob who got burned all over his body, and his skin became charred(烧焦的). Treatment belongs to the third -degree of burns. It was causes by fire. These affect every layer of the skin, and the tissue under the skin. Black and white , swollen. What should we do Task 4.Test. Translate the following phrase blocks into English. If you see someone who has been burned accidentally, you should help him/her as soon as possible by performing the following first aid procedures. Firstly, place burns under cool running water, especially （在前十分钟之内）. The cool water stops the burning process and (减少疼痛)and swelling. Secondly, dry the burnt area gently with a clean cloth.Thirdly, remove any clothes using scissors if necessary, unless you see the fabric sticking to the burnt skin. Fourthly, cover the burnt area （用一块松且干净的布）. Attention please, applying oil to the injured areas is a bad idea, as it will keep the heat in the wounds and may cause infection.Last but not least, if the victim is suffering from second or third-degree burns, there is an （紧急的需求） to take him/her to the hospital （立刻，马上）, anyway, if burns are on the face, make sure the victim can still breathe.
