Pen friends
Many people make friends by writing letters. One way to find a pen friend is to join a club. International Pen Friends started in 1967 and has over 300,000 members in different countries. Their youngest member is eight years old, and their oldest member is over eighty. Some people write to find out about life in another country. Others want to practise their foreign languages or share their hobbies. ③

宾语从句的引导词whether, if 及疑问词的用法

宾语从句中引导词whether, if 的用法:
由whether/if 引导的宾语从句,实际上是由一般疑问句演变而来的。常用来表达不确定的概念。宾语从句要用陈述语序。一般来说,在宾语从句中whether与if 可以互换使用。

但在特殊情况下if 与whether 是不能互换的。只用whether,不能用if 引导的情况有:
