本节课程是人教版（2019）必修第一册Welcome unit Building up your vocabulary的最后一节课，主要对本单元所学的词汇、短语及语法进行复习和实践。本单元的主题语境属于：人与自我------学校生活。本节课主要通过不同主题语境，描述高中生第一天校园生活的不同感受和不同活动，引导学生树立积极向上的人生观，对高中学习、生活以及未来充满信心。同时学生需要运用这些单词和短语完成各种练习，并学会使用思维导图梳理知识点。
学情分析
学生是高一年级的学生，英语水平普遍较低。他们对于词汇的积累和运用需要加强，对于学习策略和方法的掌握还有待提高。且他们彼此对老师同学都不熟悉，处于一个相对陌生的环境，因此本节课将词汇重点落脚于词句篇，学生根据所输入词汇及短语，描述自己高中第一天的真实感受，而不是各种词性转变，增强学生参与度和课堂趣味性。同时，由于是课程的最后一节课，用语篇文本呈现， 学生可对于本单元所学的内容可以进行有效回顾和总结。
教学目标
在本课结束时，学生应能够： 1.掌握描述心理的重点词汇和相关短语，如anxious，annoyed, frightened, confident, curious, excited, explore, take notes, exchange ideas, give a lecture等； 2.概括总结知识点，利用思维导图梳理知识点，引导学生反思自己的学习方法，并形成或改进自己的学习策略，进一步提高学习效率； 3.树立积极向上的正能量，积极适应高中生活，对高中学习生活充满美好憧憬； 4.积极展示自我、尊重他人，与老师同学构成良好的人际关系，树立远大理想。
教学重点
1.在语篇语境中学习、理解单元重点单词、词块和句式结构的用法； 2.引导学生用所学单词、词块和句式结构描述开学之初的学习生活及感受； 3.引导学生利用思维导图梳理知识点，引导学生反思自己的学习方法； 4.引导学生积极适应高中生活，对高中学习生活充满美好憧憬；
教学难点
帮助学生回顾和总结本节课所学的知识点，提高学生的学习能力和思维能力。
