读后续写题目
Jayce Crowder began noticing when he was in kindergarten that he looked different from his classmates. They had two hands. He had one. “It started when one boy teased him.” says his mother, Cortney Lewis.Jayce’s bubbly enthusiasm soured to sullenness(活泼的热情变成了闷闷不乐). He’d return to their Des Moines, Iowa home with questions: Why am I different Why me Why “He actually told us he was mad at God for making him that way,” his mother says. “That was a huge dagger to the heart.”(像一把匕首刺痛我的心)Lewis admits she didn’t know what to do at that point. How could she provide answers to her son’s questions when she had never found those answers herself A few weeks later, Lewis came home from her job as an orthodontic assistant and turned on the TV to a news story about a six-foot-three eighth grader from Washington, Iowa. Trashaun Willis, then 14, had become an Internet sensation after posting videos of his slam dunks, and, like Jayce, he was missing most of his left arm. Lewis called Jayce in. He was riveted(被吸引), watching dunk after monstrous dunk.(他全神贯注地看着一个又一个可怕的扣篮。)At the time, it seemed that watching Trashaun would simply be an inspiring moment for Jayce—he’d see a thriving role model with a seemingly similar similar defect. And had it stayed just that, Lewis would have been happy. But little did she know that a family friend had already reached out to the Des Moines Register, asking the newspaper to help set up a meeting with Trashaun to build Jayce’s confidence.

原版范文
The boys met at Washington Middle School on a Saturday afternoon a couple of months later. The day was not spent wallowing in self-pity-it was dedicated to fun. The two boys were instantly bonded. They rode bikes around the school's hallways, took photos, played hide-and-seek, and shot baskets. Trashaun taught Jayce to finish with a high release and put some backspin on the ball. At one point, Trashaun did get serious with Jayce. He talked about their Jeft arms-or lack thereof. He told Jayce he was perfect the way God made him. He said not to let anyone drag him down and that words don't need to shake his confidence.
Since that meeting, Lewis has seen a noticeable difference in her son. Jayee has become more confident, outgoing, and determined than ever before. He is no longer ashamed of his differences and instead embraces them, using them as a source of strength and inspiration. He recently even has started wrestling and loves it. Lewis watches with pride and amazement as her son continues to grow and thrive. She knows that the chance encounter with Trashaun has changed his life forever, and is grateful for the kindness of the family friend who has made it all possible.
Possible Version 2

Trashaun shared his journey of overcoming challenges similar to those Jayce was experiencing. “ I know how it feels to wonder, ‘Why am I different ’ But let me tell you it’s not about what we don’t have but how we use what we’ve got.”These words resonated deeply with Jayce. For hours, they talked, laughed, and played basketball together. By the end of the afternoon, Jayce was laughing and smiling, his confidence already beginning to bloom.(115words)
Paragraph 2:

No longer does he return home sullen, but speaks of his dreams with newfound enthusiasm and confidence.Nor does he shy away when asked about his arm; instead, he talks about his friend Trashaun and the amazing things he can do. He’s taken up basketball with renewed passion, practicing every day and showing off his improving skills with pride. “If Trashaun can do it, so can I,” he often says, his face glowing/radiating with determination. For Lewis, the change is nothing short of miraculous. That meeting changed everything—nger questions why he is different—instead, he embraces it, knowing that his uniqueness makes him capable of extraordinary things.(115words)
