Russian astronaut Oleg Kononenko has broken the world record for the most cumulative（累计的) time spent in space, Russia's space agency Roscosmos reported on February 4. The 59-year-old has now spent more than 878 days and 12 hours in space, beating Russian Gennady Padalka, who set the last record of 878 days, 11 hours, 29 minutes, and 48 seconds in 2015.
Kononenko has made five journeys to the International Space Station (ISS) since 2008. In an interview, he said that life as an astronaut was a childhood dream come true."I fly into space to do what I love, not to set records. I've dreamt and hoped to become an astronaut since I was a child. That interest—the chance to fly into space, to live and work in orbit（轨道）—encourages me to continue flying, ”he said.
Kononenko's recent trip to the ISS began on September 15, 2023, when he set off with NASA astronaut Loral O'Hara and Roscosmos astronaut Nikolai Chub. By June 5, Kononenko will become the first person to spend 1, 000 days in space, and by the end of this trip in September he will have spent a total of 1, 100 days in space.
“I am proud of all my achievements, "Kononenko said. "But I am most proud that the record for the total duration（持续时间）of human stay in space is still held by a Russian astronaut."

According to a recent study，kids who volunteer aren't just helping their community. 32 The study found that volunteering through school or community groups is connected with better health among children and teenagers.
The study compared kids who took part in community service with those who didn't. 33 And kids aged 12 and older who volunteered were 25% less likely to have anxiety（焦虑） than those who didn't.

Jin Ying, 25, is a lover of Traditional Chinese Medicine（TCM）. She took part in a three-month training course on acupuncture and tuina（针灸推拿） in the winter of 2023 at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
