教学内容分析 本课是第四单元的第二节课。在起始课中学生已经学习并掌握了西餐厨房常见刀具的英文表达,如:chef’s knife, boning knife, oyster knife, etc. 本课主要是让学生了解并掌握西餐厨房中不同厨刀的用途和相关知识。在教学过程中,教师可以充分利用多媒体教学的优势,同时结合实物教学法,引导学生掌握相关词汇,有条件的学校可以和专业课教师进行双语授课。
教学目标 知识目标 1. Learn and get familiar with the new words, such as: electric, bone saw, special, dangerous... 2. Learn and read the dialogue about talking different kitchen knives fluently.
能力目标 1. Recognize and speak out the phrases, such as: Sth. is for special jobs, cut…into… 2. Imitate and speak out the key sentences of talking about the chef’s knife: Is my chef’s knife for special jobs No. Your chef’s knife is for many different things. It’s dangerous. We always use an electric bone saw.
素养目标 Students are supposed to understand the culture of Western kitchen knives in order to broaden the horizon and enhance the ability of the cross-cultural understanding.
教学重点 Speak out the words and phrases of the kitchen knives, such as: electric, bone saw, special, dangerous, cut…into…

教学设计 Step 1 Feed back (3 ‘) 1. Give the students feedback of their homework. 2. Give the students feedback of their oral homework. Correct the pronunciation mistakes. 设计目的:Comment on the students homework and Stimulate students to think actively. Step 2 Lead in (5’) Activity 1 Fast Memory Exercise 1. Explain the rules of Fast Memory Exercise to Ss. 2. Show some pictures of some kitchen tools& knives. ( PPT) 3. Check the answers and mark the students according to their performance. Activity 2 Read the learning goal: 1. Get the general idea of this dialogue and read it fluently. 2. Talk about how to use different kitchen knives in a real task. 设计目的:Look for the old so as to learn the new and get to know what they are expected to achieve in this lesson. Step 2 Before reading (2’) Part 2 Focus on learning Activity 1 Listen and answer. Question : What kind of kitchen knife are they talking about 设计目的:Get the general idea with the skim reading. Step 3 While reading (20’) Activity 1 Translate and read. 1. Explain the key sentences. Invite some students to translate the sentences if necessary. Special job 特殊的用途,特殊的工作 Some rooms in the hotel are for special purposes. 在这家酒店的房间中,有几个特殊用途的房间。 He's given us special jobs to do.他给了我们特殊的工作。 Cut up 切碎, 切开 He cut up the meat on his plate.他在盘子上把肉切成小块。 There be句型 There be 句型主要用以表达某处(某时)有某人 某物),常用“There be + 名词+ 地点(时间)。句型中的be 应和其后出现的主语在数上一致,即“就近原则”。 There is a lamp on the table. There are some apples in the bowl. 2. Read the dialogue followed by the recording. 3. Read the dialogue in pairs. 4. Invite some students to read the dialogue by roles. 设计目的: Master the key words and phrases, understand the meaning of the dialogue and lay a good foundation for next activity. Chef: You may use your cheese knife. Activity 5 Listen and complete. 设计目的:Help the students to practice their listening skills and get familiar with the electric bone saw. Step 4 Post reading(10’) Activity 1 Oral practice. A: I need to/want to cut up(slice, open)some_________. B: Use your________.(cheese/cheese knife; salmon/salmon knife; onion/chef’s knife; oysters/oyster knife) 设计目的:Practice the students’ ability on oral English. Activity 2 Role play Task : Suppose you are talking about the kitchen knives with your chef in the western kitchen . 设计目的:Use the knowledge learned flexibly in real tasks to consolidate the learned knowledge and develop the sense of cooperation. Step 5 Summary(4’) Make Ss summarize the key words ,phrases and sentences by themselves. 1. Key words and phrases: electric, bone saw, special, dangerous, cut…into… 2. Key sentences: Is the chef ’s knife for special jobs The chef’s knife is for many different things, but we seldom cut up the bones with the chef’s knife. 设计目的:Consolidate the language points by summarizing the key words and sentences by answering the questions. Step 6 Homework(1’) Read the two dialogues with your partner and upload them to the class group. Collect the other kitchen knives’ pictures.
