Imitate and speak out the key sentences, such as: What’s your favorite fruit My favorite fruit is cherry / strawberry / peach / honey melon / watermelon.素养目标 Students will be aware of the importance of co-operation. Suppose you’re Mike, a trainee(实习生)at a western restaurant, the chef wants to talk with you about fruits based on what you’ve learned. 【设计目的】Lead in to arose students’ learning interest and be clear about the main task of this lesson. Step 2 Preparation (2’) Activity 1 Brainstorm Ask Ss to answer the questions : 1.Do you often use fruits in western kitchen 2. What kinds of fruits do you often use 【设计目的】To develop students’ ability of divergent thinking. Step 3 Presentation (20m') Part one Lead in Activity 1 Look and match. Ask Ss to look at some pictures of fruits and match them with the right words given by the teacher. 【设计目的】To contextualize students of the content of this lesson and energize them to be ready for the class. Activity 2 Read and write Ask students to discuss and write the colors of fruits according to the given words. cherry: red peach: pink and green watermelon: green and black 4. strawberry: red 5. pear: yellow 6. honey melon: yellow 【设计目的】Make students get more familiar with the new words by discussing the colors of fruits. Activity 3 Oral practice. A:What’s your favorite fruit B:My favorite fruit is cherry / strawberry / peach / honey melon / watermelon. 【设计目的】Deepen the impression of the new words and practice students’ oral English. Part 2 Focus on learning Activity 1 Read. Ask students to match the pictures with given words then translate into Chinese. Ask students to read these words and phrase by following the tape. Encourage students to read the words and phrases in pairs. 【设计目的】To learn the key words and phrases by using pictures and translation , and get prepared for further study as well. Activity 2 Look and write. Ask students to write down the words or phrases according to the pictures then check in pairs. 【设计目的】Get familiar with the key words and phrases by writing. Step 4 Practice (15’) Activity 1 Play a game Invite students play a game and tick out the right words according to what you’ve heard as quickly as possible. Activity 2 Role play Task: Suppose you’re Mike, a trainee(实习生)at Bear restaurant, the chef wants to talk with you about fruits based on what you’ve learned today. Step 5 Summary(4’) Encourage students to summarize the key words and phrases of fruits: pear, cherry, watermelon, grape, blueberry, plum, apricot, Chinese date,ect.. Make a summary about the key sentences: What is the fruit called in English What’s your favorite fruit 【设计目的】To summarize what they’ve learned. Step 6 Homework(1’) Read the words and upload it to Xuexitong. 2.
