Yeshe Dolkar still remembers the moment she saw snow leopards at Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve a year ago. On that cold snowy day, the 15-year-old Yeshe Dolkar living in Nangqen County, Qinghai was heading down a mountaintop with her family. Suddenly, they saw two snow leopards near the headwaters of the Lancang River. “They have blue-green eyes and long tails. The fur is gray-white with black spots all over the body. “They look so cool!” said Yeshe Dolkar.
Since the mid-20th century, the area of snow, grasslands and lakes in Sanjiangyuan has become smaller because of climate change and human activities. Many wild animals living in the area are in danger of extinction (灭绝).
On Jan 24, 2003, China set up Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve to better protect the area and the wildlife there.
Last year was the 20th anniversary of the setup of the reserve. In these years, the population (种群) of wild animals has been rising. More than 70,000 Tibetan antelopes now live there. And more than 1,000 snow leopards can be found in the area.
Local people have improved (提高) their understanding about environmental protection and have tried hard to look after the environment in Sanjiangyuan over the years. They used to carry food with them in plastic bags and left the bags behind. But now things have changed. According to Palden Wangchuk, a 22-year-old young man, local people are regularly called on to pick up waste (废物) on the grasslands. “People would also take their food waste down the mountains. The grasslands have put on a new look,” he said.

Asking people to a party is an art. You must think about what kind of party you’re going to have first. If it is a small party, you can just give a call to your friends and ask them to the party. You can even e-mail them or just leave a message for them.
Now, calling someone is an art, too. First, give a call to your friends, and then begin the talk by asking them about their life and family. Then ask them about their schedules (日程表) on the day of the party. If they say they are free, you can ask them to the party directly (直接地). If they are not free, then ask him to try to find time for your party.
If you’re going to have a big party, and need to ask lots of people to your party, you must decide how many people you want at your party. Then you can write a list of them and send them beautiful invitation cards, because you may not have so much time to give them a call each. You must send the cards a few days before the party so that they can have enough time to prepare for it.

Many people enjoy going on holiday. It is a good chance to relax, visit new places and see new things. But you should decide who you want to travel with.
Travelling with your family can be very cheap or even free if your parents pay. But there are many arguments (争吵). For example, on our trip to Hawaii last year, we had different ideas. Dad always wants to go to a museum. Mom would like to stay in the hotel. My sister likes to shop for clothes. As for me, the coffee shop is the best place.
It would be fun to travel with friends. When you travel with friends, you have to do more different things than when you travel with your family. It is a good way to strengthen (加强) a friendship. You can get to know more about your friends. You can become closer to each other. But money is always important. You may have different budgets (预算). There are also a lot of compromises (让步) about what to eat and where to stay.
There’s the third choice about who you travel with. That’s travelling alone. If you travel alone, you might spend less money. You can choose what you want to do and eat. It’s easier for you to make new friends.
Of course, travelling alone is not always a good idea. Sometimes you might get bored. If you need to go to the toilet at the bus station or airport, there is nobody to look after your things.

In my job, I need to remember a lot of information: meeting notes, work plans, and new ideas. I enjoyed taking notes (做笔记) on my computer because of my good computer skills and bad handwriting. But these days, I decide to use pen and paper to take notes. Along the way, I find many benefits (优点) in taking notes by hand.
No Distraction(分心)
Our digital devices, like computers, mobile phones and iPads, are full of distractions: emails, short messages, news and those cute pictures. Writing with pens is distraction-free (免受干扰). That’s because we won’t have to meet the need of quickly checking the information that just popped up (突然出现). When we are taking notes by hand, others think we are listening carefully and paying full attention to what they say.
Better For Memory
Taking notes by hand can help you have a better memory. A study from the University of California shows students can remember more when they take notes with pen and paper.
Higher-Quality Notes
Taking notes with computers is faster than taking notes by writing, so people finally finish their notes word by word on the computers without thinking carefully. They may not understand what they note down at that moment.
However, with pen and paper, people can take shorter and straight-to-the-point notes. Paper also helps people to take notes easily, such as drawing lines or marking key points in different colors. When people come back to their notes, they will also review (复习) faster.
Enjoy Handwriting
Writing by hand is a skill and I need time to practise it. It can bring me a relaxing feeling and every time I look at my beautiful handwriting, I really feel proud (自豪) of myself.
30.What does the writer decide to do these days
31.Why is writing with pens distraction-free
32.What does the study from the University of California show
33.Which way of note-taking do people need to think while taking notes, with a computer or by hand

One of the great things about traveling alone is that you can decide where you go and what you eat. You’ll be surprised at what you discover about yourself without any influence.
Traveling alone really shows you what you’re made of and helps you to discover inner strength you didn’t know you had. Besides, it also gives you time to think, learn and grow. When your eyes are wide open, you’ll get a whole new outlook on the world.
It’s easy to think that traveling alone is lonely. Although that may sometimes be true, you’re hardly ever alone. When you travel in a one-person team, this can provide a chance for you to enjoy the most interesting part of travel—communicating with the local people.
In fact, traveling to know more about the world is not easy. There’s research to be done, flights to be booked and choices to be made. One of the main advantages of traveling with friends is being able to share these things and support each other through the process, even if it’s just someone who will wait with your bag when you go to the bathroom.
Just as your mother always says, it’s true that traveling with others can give you a sense of safety, especially if you’re new to travel. You know that if you get lost or have your wallet stolen, there’s someone to hold your hand when you try to explain your situation in a foreign police station. There’s no right or wrong way to travel. Whether you travel alone or team up with friends, it is up to you.
46.What can you decide when you travel alone
47.According to the writer, what is the most interesting part of travelling in a one-person team
48.Why isn’t it easy to know more about the world by traveling
49.What does your mother think of travelling with others
