教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材,《英语1 基础模块》中第六单元的热身(Warming Up)和听说(Listening and Speaking)板块,听说部分,要求学生能在对话交际中获得关于饮食的信息,并谈论与饮食相关的内容。
学情分析 饮食是和学生生活息息相关的话题,不少学生也会关注网络“吃播”,对这一话题有兴趣度。对于一些常见的饮食表达,如dumpling和steak,学生有一定了解,也能用简单句式I like/I hate表达喜好。但对更多种类饮食的谈论能力有限,用英文列举、讨论中华美食的知识储备不充分,也无法在交际中,从食物味道、个人喜好等方面综合谈论饮食。此外,针对服务类专业学生,也需要提升其提供点餐服务的职场语言沟通能力。因此需要激发学生兴趣,引导学生从语言输入到输出,从跟读模仿,到控制性练习,最后到点餐情境下的有效语言交际。
学习目标 Knowledge objectives: To learn words and phrases about food and drinks: steak,dumpling,tomato and egg soup. To be able to use these sentences skillfully: Can I take your order now /What would you like to have/eat/drink Would you like… /I’d like.../What would you recommend ... Ability objectives: To be able to order food and talk about one’s own likes and dislikes about food. Emotional objectives: To eat a healthy diet. To respect different people’s different flavors.
学习重难点 To skillfully master the words and sentences about ordering food and talking about one’s likes and dislikes about food. To be able to describe the different tastes and names of food and know how to use proper sentences to order food.

Step 1: Lead in Play a video about world food. Present different words about food. Make use of some games to practice vocabularies about food. Learn the vocabularies about different food. 通过视频的方式导入食物这一主题,学习食物主题的词汇后后面的活动做铺垫。
Step 2: Warming up Choose and talk. Introduce the dishes and ask students to use sentences: “I’m a big...lover/I like.../I don’t like .../I can’t stand...” to talk about the food they like and don’t like. Discuss and list. Present the four words: sweet,salty,sour,spicy and group the dishes. 1.Use sentence patterns to talk about food they like and dislike. Learn the words about flavor: sweet,salty,sour,spicy 本环节旨在引出与食物及饮料相关的词汇与句型,并在有语言提示的情况下,简单运用相关表达,为下一环节的听说活动做准备。
Step 3: Listening Listen and tick. Look at the pictures and let students predict the content of the listening. Then play the listening. Listen and decide. Before playing the listening, ask students to read the question and choices.Then have a rough guess. Listen and complete. Before listening, let students read the short passage first and fill in as many blanks as possible.Then play the listening and check their answers. Read after the script. Show students the script and ask them to read after the script. Finish the listening activities “Listen and tick/Listen and decide/Listen and complete” in the book. 本环节旨在训练学生根据已有的信息预测听力内容,在听的过程中获取、归纳并记录关键信息,侧重培养学生语言沟通能力和语言交互能力。
Step 4: Dialogue learning Watch and answer. Play the video twice. At the first time let students answer “What are they doing ”. At the second time, present some detailed questions “What food does Mary order...” Language points analysis. Analyze the important words and phrases of the dialogue: take one’s order, order sb. to do sth. I’d like sth... Short summary. Analyze the sentence patterns about ordering food. Practice. Present some multiple choices of the important points of the dialogue. Watch the video twice and answer the questions. Understand the important language points and take notes. Get familiar with the sentence patterns and read them out loudly. Practice. 本环节通过观看视频回答问题分析重难点,点餐用语总结等活动,使学生掌握点餐的基础语言表达。夯实重点,为之后的口语输出做准备。
Step 5: Speaking Imitate and practice. Present the dishes and the sentence patterns: What would you like to order... /I’d like to have... Role play. Introduce the differences between Chinese food and western food and show some pictures. Imitate activity 6 and make up a new dialogue and then practice with partners. Know the differences between Chinese food and western food. 本环节通过跟读范本中重点句型、替换关键词模仿练习等活动,使学生掌握点餐的基础语言表达。在此基础上,进一步迁移到实际的点餐语境中,培养学生的语言交互能力和思维能力。此外,通过情境中的交际活动,注重培养学生点餐服务中的得体礼仪,提高职业综合素养。
