教材分析 本课教学内容选自高等教育出版社出版的“十四五”职业教育国家规划教材(中等职业学校公共基础课程教材),《英语1 基础模块》中第八单元的热身(Warming Up)和听说(Listening and Speaking)板块,要求学生能交流关于重要人物与事件的看法,同时在交谈中获取重要人物与事件的相关信息,并能谈论最喜欢的事物。
学情分析 本单元的话题为重要的人和事件。对于这一话题,同学们也许能够列举出一些重要的人和事件,但是对于这些重要人物的具体成就,以及重大事件对于社会一些影响了解的还不够深入。而如果要让他们用英语来表达,不管从词汇的积累,还是从句式的使用来说,学生都会有一定的难度。因此教师在教学活动中引导学生结合自身的学习体会,由简到繁,由机械模仿到替换练习,再到语言实践,最终能就重要人物与事件的看法进行交流,并能谈论最喜欢的事。

To know some famous people and events. Ability objective: To get familiar with some famous people and events and be able to communicate opinions with partners. Step 1: Lead in Show the pictures of some famous people(Cai Lun, Columbus,Zhan Tianyou...) and ask the question: What do you know about him/her Get familiar with these famous people and their commitments. 通过小游戏的方式展示名人事迹,引起学生的兴趣,为后面热身部分做铺垫。
Step 2: Warming up Look and match. Firstly,the teacher teaches the new wors: hold, produce, in large numbers,paper-making. And then ask students to match. Read and guess. Analyze the important words: record and share knowledge, then let students read it and guess the riddle. Look at the pictures carefully, then read the sentences and match. Translate the passage into Chinese and guess the answer. 本环节旨在激活学生已积累的百科知识,并为学生提供单元后续活动开展所需的词汇 与表达。猜谜活动则能在为听力活动做语言和背景知识准备的同时,锻炼学生的思维能力。
Step 3: Listening Pre-listening Play an English video about Cai Lun’s paper-making. While-listening Listen and tick Lead students read the choices first and predict the listening content. Listen and choose Let students read the choices first and be sure of the points they should focus on while listening. Listen and complete Before listening for the third time, deal with the new words: invent, quality, importance...and then read the sentences and predict the answers. Watch the video and get familiar with Cai Lun’s paper-making. Listen to the tape three times and get familiar with it’s general idea and some important details such as the invention time, quality,price and importance. 为听力内容做背景铺垫。 学生听取关于历史人物和时间的简单讨论,练习利用问题和选项预测听力内容,在听的过程中提取所需信息并进行选择;旨在提升学生提取关键信息的能力,同时增进学生对我国古代科学技术发展成就的认识,也为下一步骤中的语言输出做好准备。
Step 4: Dialogue learning Lead in Present the pictures of some important inventions and ask students the question: What’s your favorite invention Listen, read and underline Play the tape and ask students to read after it and underline the sentences talking about one’s favorite thing. Watch the video Play the video twice.Before watching, present some questions such as: What are they talking about What’s Jame Adam’s favorite invention ...after watching the video, invite some students to answer the questions. Important points analysis Analyze the important language points, for example: What’s your favorite... like...most, I like... best Talk about one’s favorite inventions. Listen to the tape and read after it. Watch the video and answer questions. 4.Understand the important language points and take notes. 导入环节让学生讨论最喜欢的发明,为后面的主题做铺垫。 通过听录音,划句子的环节,让学生对文本初步熟悉;观看视频让学生回答问题,带着问题观看视频,更熟悉文本,对文本的重点内容有所熟悉。分析重点词句,夯实重点词句,为后面的语言输出做准备。
Step 5: Speaking Imitate and practice. Deal with the new wors: compass,travel long distance, in a short time,speed up. Then show them the sentence patterns and ask them to imitate activity6 and practice with partner. Role play First ask students to read the example loudly and then ask them to choose a career and the person who made great achievements in the field to role play. Make use of the sentence patterns and imitate activity6 to practice speaking with partner.
