The passager pigeon once live in North America.
What was the animal like
It was about 40cm long.

It lived in very large groups and could fly fast. Often, millions of passenger pigeons flew together.
Why did the animal die out
The animal died out becuase people hunted it. They were easy to shoot. The last passenger pigeon died in 1914.
