教学目标
Words and phrases：能准确地读和使用vocabulary，ask for，improve, basic, advise, shy, conversation, quickly, natural,suggest等。
Important sentences：能够掌握（1）Many students ask for ad-vice about how to improve their English.
(2)Each time you will learn something new.
(3)I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends.

Grammar：能够运用所学的一般现在时、一般过去时、一般将来时和现在进行时四种时态。
Listening：能听懂短文，并找出问题答案。
Speaking：能根据短文，回答问题。
Reading：能读懂有关问题和建议的文章，明白文章主旨，理解文章结构。
Writing：能用各种时态和表达建议的句式进行书面写作。

Step 1 Leading-in

设计意图：直接导入与短文有关的内容，帮助学生主动发现自己在学习英语中遇到的问题，为下面文章的阅读和理解奠定基础。通过对活动1中这几个短语的理解，让学生自己去思考在学习过程中遇到了问题该怎样去解决，文章中究竟是谁在学习中遇到了困难，遇到了哪些困难，语言博士戴安娜给出了什么建议，可以激发他们阅读的积极性，从而愿意去阅读。
Step 2 Pre-reading
T:OK,we have talked about the problems you have in learning English. Now we will learn some new words. And this will help you learn about the problems of others. Are you ready

Step 3 While-reading
1．Scan reading．（速读）
教师将全班同学分为8个小组，小组中优帮差，小组间合作探究，从课文中快速找出活动3的答案。小组代表快速到黑板写出答案，组与组之间进行比赛，写对答案的赢得一颗星。
T:Boys and girls,it's our reading time. Please read quickly and find the answers for Activity 3. And then you can discussin your groups. I will give you three minutes. Then I will ask you to come to the front and write down the answers. If you write dowwn the right answers you will win a star. Are youready Go!

设计意图：本活动要培养学生快速把握课文信息的能力，学会找关键句，不用详读，快速跳读，以找出答案为目的。通过小组合作，优生能够帮扶差生找到快速发现答案的技巧。
2．Careful reading．（细读）

设计意图：此活动在任务的设计上加大了一定的难度，细读会对文章的内容有更进一步的理解，让学生能够真正地运用所学的知识，使学生成为课堂真正的主人。小组合作探究，优生帮扶差生，使优生在实际运用知识中获得成功的满足感。
3.Read the article aloud.
教师播放对话视频，播放一句，暂停一次，学生观看视频并跟读对话。

设计意图：本活动设计在读文章两遍之后，学生对课文内容已经有了一定的了解，跟着视频大声朗读文章可以加深对文章的理解，并且对于学生准确的发音以及培养他们的语感有重要的作用。
4. Work in groups of 8 to deal with the language points.
教师把学生分为8人一组，学生通过合作探究找出大屏幕上出现的语言点，并学习。
T:This time,please read and find the language points on the screen in groups, and after that we will come to the"Question Time”.
The language points:
(1)Many students ask for advice about how to improve their English.许多学生寻求关于怎样提高英语的建议。
ask for“寻求；请求；要”，是“动词＋介词”结构的短语。ask sb.for sth.意为“向某人要某物”。
（2）Each time you will learn something new．每次你都将学到新的东西。
something new＂新的东西／事情”，new是形容词，形容词修饰复合不定代词时要后置。
(3)I also advise you to talk about the films or songs with your friends.我也建议你跟你的朋友谈论这些电影和歌曲。
advise动词，意为“建议；劝告”；名词为advice，不可数。
advise sb.to do sth.“建议某人做某事”，动词不定式to talk about the films or songs 在句中作宾语补足语。
（4）I am shy and I am afraid to speak to her．我很害羞，并且我害怕和她交谈。
be afraid to do sth.“不敢做某事”。
be afraid of sth.／doing sth.“害怕某事／做某事”。
（5）It is natural to forget new words！忘记生词是很自然的事！
Itis＋adj.＋to do sth.表示“做某事是······的。”
给学生一段时间记住这些知识点。
设计意图：学生应是学习的主体，教师要努力调动学生学习的积极性和主动性，通过组内合作讨论、探究，找出对话中的关键单词和短语。

学生完成后到前面利用幻灯机展示自己的作文，师生共同批阅。
设计意图：所学的文章给我们提供了一个怎样提出问题、怎样表达建议的范文。学生可以模仿该文章写一写自己在英语学习中遇到的问题。内容贴近学生的生活，所以学生写起来比较容易。写作之前学生讨论在写这样一个题目时需要包含哪些内容，并且教给他们一些写作的策略。最后是学生作文的展示活动，通过展示检测他们怎样表述问题、怎样表达建议，并且在纠正错误的过程中，帮助学生对容易犯错的地方有更加深刻的认识。
