Do you know the differences of celebrating birthdays in China and in western countries
In China, people often eat long noodles for long life and red eggs for good luck on their birthdays. For old people, their family members usually prepare peach-shaped buns or birthday cakes with the Chinese character “寿” (longevity) on them.
In western countries, people usually have birthday cakes. They blow out candles and get birthday gifts. But different countries have different birthday traditions(传统). For example, in Australia, people eat fairy bread(仙女面包) on their birthdays. In Mexico, kids hit Pi ata(皮纳塔——彩罐游戏) and get candies.

It's a great idea to plant a tree for your birthday! My birthday is on 28th July. I usually have a party with my friends to celebrate. My mother always makes my favourite chocolate cake. Everyone sings the “Happy Birthday” song, and then I make a wish and blow out the candles. Next, we enjoy the cake, and I open all my gifts. My father marks my height on the door every year. It's fun to look at the marks later. Next time, I also want to do something different. Any good ideas
