Qomolangma runs along the border between China and Nepal. It is covered with snow all the year round. It’s 8844.43 meters high, the highest mountain in the world.

长度，宽度，高度，深度的表示方法
英语中，表示长、宽、高等时，主要有两种表达方式：
① 基数词＋单位词十形容词（long, wide, high, deep等）
② 基数词十单位词＋in＋名词（ length, width, height, depth, size等）
单位词有 meter, foot, kilogram等。
“这个箱子重10公斤”，可说:
The box is 10 kilograms 或The box is 10 kilos in weight，但习惯上不说 The box is 10 kilograms heavy。

(1)“one of the + 形容词最高级 +可数名词复数”意为 “最…的…之一”。此结构作主语时,谓语动词要用第三人称单数。
(2) that China is ...是know的宾语从句，尽管主句的时态是一般过去时，但由于宾语从句陈述的是客观事实，所以从句仍用一般现在时。
