Passive voice
I. Analysis of the learning material
Passive voice is always an important test point in Rational Cloze and Proof Reading in the college entrance examination, which is tested every year. It is also a difficult point for students to learn. The test questions mainly examine the students’ ability to use several kinds of basic and key tenses in specific contexts. It is hard for students to make correct sentences and write passages correctly and properly unless they are able to master passive voice well. Therefore, passive voice is the basis of English grammar. We have to try our best to learn it well.
II. Analysis of the learners
The students can have a good command of several kinds of simple tenses, but with the increasing number of tenses and other grammars, they have much trouble in using tenses correctly. In addition, students are likely to mix up several tenses, for example, the simple past tense, the present perfect tense and their passive voice. So I’ll try my best to help my students in different levels to grasp passive voice and improve their test-taking ability.
