A Relaxing Solution for Stress Relief: Nature Walks
In the intense studies of our high school, finding moments of peace can be a challenge. As a fellow senior, I’d like to share a simple yet effective way to regulate our emotions and relieve our stress – nature walks.
The reason I recommend this practice lies in its profound impact on our mental well-being. Firstly, exposure to nature has been scientifically proven to reduce stress hormone levels, helping us relax and unwind. Additionally, the beauty and vastness of nature can inspire a sense of awe, fostering feelings of gratitude and contentment. Finally, nature walks offer a perfect opportunity for self-reflection.
Dear fellow students, Let’s make it a habit to embrace nature’s healing power, and walk towards a healthier, happier mindset.
读后续写
Paragraph 1: Following the boy quickly, she spotted a group of kids crying anxiously by the lake. Her initial anger was momentarily forgotten as she saw the urgency in their faces. As she got closer, she realized that one of the children had fallen into the lake and was struggling to stay afloat. The boy who had taken her jump rope was now using it to help the drowning child. He had quickly uncoiled the rope and was throwing one end towards the child in the water, while others held the other end taut. Katie’s heart pounded as she watched the rescue unfold, her emotions shifting from shock to relief as the boy managed to reach the struggling child with the rope.
Paragraph 2: After making sure the drowning girl was okay, the boy walked up to Katie with the jump rope. He was breathless and visibly shaken by the incident but managed to apologize to Katie sincerely. “I’m really sorry I took your rope like that. I didn’t mean to scare you, but we needed help fast, and your rope was the only thing long enough to reach her,” he explained. Katie, still processing the events, found it in her heart to forgive him. She understood that her beloved jump rope had served a greater purpose that day. The boy’s quick thinking and the jump rope’s role in saving a life had turned a terrible
situation into a story of heroism, and Katie felt proud that her grandmother’s gift had played such an important part.

W: I’m really glad to see so many people signed up for this workshop. With graduation coming up soon, I know that many of you are preparing to enter the workforce for the first time. Job interviews can be an enormously stressful experience, but like most things, interviewing is a skill, not a talent, and a little practice goes a long way.
I know many of you feel nervous just at the thought of being interviewed, but you need to remember that you’ve been invited for an interview because your potential employers think you’d be suitable for the job. So, have a little confidence in yourself. The best thing you can do is be prepared and professional, which will help you make a strong first impression.
Before an interview, you should always review your résumé and application, which is why I asked you all to bring an outline of your achievements, academic or otherwise, up to now. You’ll be needing that later. Once your résumé is solid, then you can start preparing for possible interview questions. I’m going to hand out a list of those questions now. You need to think about how you’d answer each of them. Don’t bother making notes — you can’t bring
notes to an interview. OK, that’s all, does anyone have any questions for me
