Some people think it's important to do chores. First of all, doing chores help kids learn more skills. Cooking meals and folding clothes are just some of necessary things when we live alone. What's more, chores help kids respect their parents. By doing chores, we may understand parents better and help parents working for all day with housework. Other people think doing chores is a waste of time, not doing housework can enjoy their life better and make their dreams come true.
In my opinion, doing choices is not only good for our future, but also makes us get such a strong feeling of satisfaction. So let's do housework from now on.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Nowadays, many students have after-school classes. In my opinion, having after-school classes does much harm to（对sb 有害处） children.
First of all, although some parents believe the classes can help children learn a lot, they take up most of children's time（占用孩子大多数时间） to relax. I think children should develop more hobbies（培养爱好） like playing basketball or playing the piano instead of studying all the time（而不是一直学习）. Besides, after-school classes also make children have a lot pressure than before（比以前更有压力）. Many students even give up some bedtime（放弃睡觉时间）in order to finish their homework. It's really bad for children's health. At the same time, if students learn in after-school classes ahead of time(提前), they may lose interest in（失去兴趣）listening to the teachers carefully.
All in all, I don't agree the idea that students should have lots of after school classes.

We all have some problems and stress in our lives. How should we solve them
Firstly, listening to music or taking part in outdoor activities（参加户外活动） is a good way to help us get relaxed. So we can keep healthy and glad. Secondly, when we are in trouble, we should communicate with our teachers, parents and friends to tell them about our problems. They can give us some useful advice to solve those problems and stress. Thirdly, we should try our best to study hard and be brave to face our grades. Finally, if we are still under too much pressure（处于压力下）, we'd better go to see a doctor.
No matter how many difficulties we have, I believe all of them can be overcome（克服） in the end.

An unforgettable thing （下暴雨回家）
An unforgettable thing I remember well happened on a rainy day. It was on my way home last Friday.
On that day, while I was making my way（艰难的回家） home as usual, all of a sudden, black clouds were making the sky very dark. When it began to rain heavily, everyone on the road was busy getting out of the rain. I thought I had an umbrella in my schoolbag, so I kept trying to look for it. However, I suddenly realized that my umbrella was left in the classroom. So I had to wait for the rain to stop. Finally, I arrived at home one hour later. I took a hot shower and ate some warm food. I felt so good to be home!
This event is unforgettable for me because it makes me understand that it's important to prepare in advance（提前准备） and carry an umbrella with me.

An unforgettable thing （骑车）
Although there are many unforgettable things in my life. I will never forget the day when I learned to ride a bike（学着骑自行车） for the first time.
On that day, my grandfather offered to teach me how to ride a bike. At first, he held on to the back of the bike(扶着后座). After a few minutes, I thought I could ride on my own, so I asked him not to help me. However, I fell off my bike（从自行车上摔下来）. At that moment, I felt so angry that I wanted to give up. But my grandfather told me, "Never give up easily（不要轻易放弃）. Failure is the mother of success. I'm sure you can do it." With his encouragement（有了他的鼓励）, I regained my confidence（重拾信心）. Finally, with enough practice, I was able to ride a bike!
Through that experience, I learn that we should continue to work hard no matter what happens.

An unforgettable thing （学游泳）
Everyone has his own unforgettable things. For me, there was one thing that I still remembe well until now.
It was a hot summer day and I wanted to learn how to swim. At first, I thought it wouldn't be difficult. However, as my father asked me to try to swim in the pool I began to feel afraid. When I jumped into the water, I almost couldn't breathe（几乎不能呼吸）, so I quickly raised my head out of the water（很快从水里仰头） and I didn't want to learn swimming any more. But my father encouraged me to try again. With his encouragement and help, I overcame the fear（克服恐惧） and kept trying several times. Finally, I did it successfully（成功做到）.
I will never forget the experience, because it makes me understand that it is important to keep trying and we should never give up easily.
Unit 6 An old man tried to move the mountains.
01Yu Gong moves the mountain
There are so many stories about Chinese culture, let me tell you one that encourage me for many years.
Once upon a time, there lived an old man called Yu Gong.There were two mountains near his house.They were so big that it took a long time to walk to the other side. To solve this problem, Yu Gong told his family that he wanted to move the mountains and he needed their help. All his family members agreed so they started digging the next day. They worked day after day, night after night. One day, when aman saw Yu Gong and his family working, he said it was impossible for Yu Gong to move the mountains because he was old and weak. But YuGong said his family could continue doing it after he died. Yu Gong's spirit moved the God so he sent two gods to take the mountains away. Seeing this, all the family members jumped with joy.
This story tells us we never know what is possible unless we try to make it happen.
02Monkey King
The Monkey King is from the famous Chinese story Journey to the West, Let me tell something about it.
Once upon a time, The rock opened up and a monkey was born. This monkey is kind and special, because he can help weak people. He can see and hear very well. He can fly fast and far with the clouds（用筋斗云飞的很快很远）.
The Monkey King has a magic stick. He can make the stick big or small. He can sometimes make the stick so small that he can put it into his ear.As soon as he sees bad people, he thinks of ways to fight them. He can turn himself into different animals or obiects. But unless he can hide his tail, he can't make himself a human.
Children all over the world love the Monkey King.
03Staying by a stump waiting for more rabbits
I have an interesting story, it named 'staying by a stump waiting for more rabbits". Now, I want to share it with you.
Once upon a time, a farmer worked hard in the felds every day. One day, while he was working, he saw a rabbit. The rabbit was very afraid. It ran so quickly that its head hit a stump. And it died. The farmer picked up the dead rabbit and took it home for dinner happily. From that day on, he gave up farming. He threw his hoe away and stayed by the stump, waiting for rabbits to come again. But he never saw another rabbits. He finally realized his mistake and went back to work in his felds, but all his crops were dead.
As the saying goes, "No gains, no gains" Only through hard work can we succeed.
