What comes to your mind when you think of the largest marine animals Whales, of course. Let me tell you something about it.
Whales live in the sea. They eat small fish and other sea life. They look like fish but they are not fish. The longest whale is more than 30 meters long. One interesting fact is that whales can jump very high out of the water and it's amazing that they're able to sing songs.
However, water pollution（水污染）, whales hunting（捕杀鲸鱼） and other human activities（其他人类活动） put whales in danger. To protect these animals, we need to learn more about whales and stop putting rubbish into the sea. What's more, we can even make rules on（制定法规在） whale protection. I think everyone has their favorites on writers, so do I and my favorite writer is Liu Cixin. He was born in Beijing in 1963. Now he has become one of the most popular science fiction writers in the world.
I know Liu Cixin because of my father.He is a fan of science fiction. Liu Cixin's books are so interesting and exciting that I can't put them down as long as I start to read（如此的有趣，只要一开始读，就放不下）. I have never seen such books before. They have also opened my mind to everything that I might see in the future. That's what I admire most about him.

When talking about Chinese writers, Lu Yao is the first coming into my mind.
I have already read most of his books, and The Ordinary World(平凡的世界) is one of his most successful books. I read this book when I was 12 years old. Ever since（自从） I read the book, I have been a fan of（成为他的粉丝） Lu Yao. The book introduced what the past life was like in China. The book brings us back to the "good old days" when people trusted one another and were kind to each other（带我们回到彼此信任，互相友好的美好旧时光）.

My hometown Xi'an is in the northwest of China. It is a modern city with more than 3,000 years' history and Chinese traditional culture.

The city is famous for Terracotta Army（兵马俑） and you can't miss it if you come here. You can also wear beautiful hanfu.

My hometown
When it comes to my favorite city, the first place in my mind is Jiyuan. Let me introduce something about it to you.
Jiyuan is famous for the story called Yu Gong moves mountains. It is the spirit of the people here that Yu Gong moves mountains and dares to be the first(敢为人先).
Jiyuan is warm in winter and cool in summer, making it a good place for living and travel. Yang Tai palace is a traditional scenic spot in Jiyuan, the scenery here is beautiful and that's why many tourists from different cities come here. The poet Li Bai even once came here and left famous works about it. What's more, there are a lot of delicious food. 01My favorite thing
My favorite thing from childhood is a blue bike. I have had it for seven years.
It's special to(对sb特殊) me because it's a symbol of my parents' love(是父母爱我的象征). And it is also the thing that holds all my best childhood memories（承载了我童年的美好回忆）. l remember that I was late for school one day. I thought it was a shame（很丢人） to be late for class, so I no longer（不再） wanted to go to school from that day on. However, my parents bought me a new bike. With its help（在它的帮助下）, I went to school on time.
As for me, the bike has given me many memories. Although I have not used it for a long time, I still wanted to keep it.
02My favorite toy
When it comes to my favorite thing, I think it's the toy bear. I've had it since I was seven years old.
I like the toy bear so much because it's a symbol of the friendship（友谊的象征） between Olivia and me. Five years ago, her family planned to live abroad（计划出国居住）. I felt quite sad to part with（分离） her. I have learned a lot from my parents
As is known to all（纵所周知）, parents are children's first teachers, children learned many qualities from（学到很多品质从） their parents. As for me, the important quality I have learned from my parents is caring for the elders.
Since I was young, my father has taught me the importance of caring the elders（照顾老人的重要性）. He used to take me to visit my grandparents every week.
