【考情分析】
读后续写是历年高考的必考点。近几年新高考对读后续写的考查以记叙文为主，考查语言综合运用能力、思维能力、学习能力和书面表达能力以及在面对生活实践或学习探索情境中，运用正确的思维方法，有效结合英语语言学科知识，认识问题、分析问题和解决问题的综合素质。

【重点讲解】
一、评分标准
1. 第七档（22~25分）
（1）创造了丰富、合理的内容，富有逻辑性，续写完整，与原文情境融洽度高；
（2）使用了多样且恰当的词汇和语法结构，表达流畅，语言错误很少，且完全不影响理解；
（3）自然有效地使用了段落间、句间衔接手段，全文结构清晰，前后呼应，意义连贯。
2. 第六档（18~21分）
（1）创造了比较丰富、合理的内容，比较有逻辑性，续写比较完整，与原文情境融洽度较高；
（2）使用了比较多样且恰当的词汇和语法结构，表达比较流畅，有个别错误，但不影响理解；
（3）比较有效地使用了语句间衔接手段，全文结构比较清晰，意义比较连贯。
3. 第五档（15~17分）
（1）创造了基本合理的内容，有一定的逻辑性，续写基本完整，与原文情境相关；
（2）使用了比较恰当的词汇和语法结构，表达方式不够多样性，表达有些许错误，但基本不影响理解；
（3）使用了语句间衔接手段，全文结构比较清晰，意义比较连贯。
4. 第四档（11~14分）
（1）创造了基本完整的故事内容，但有的情节不够合理或逻辑性不强，与原文情境基本相关；
（2）使用了简单的词汇和语法结构，有部分语言错误和不恰当之处，个别部分影响理解；
（3）尚有语句衔接的意识，全文结构基本清晰，意义基本连贯。
5. 第三档（6~10分）
（1）内容和逻辑上有一些重大问题，续写不够完整，与原文有一定程度脱节；
（2）所用的词汇有限，语法结构单调，错误较多且比较低级，影响理解；
（3）未能有效地使用语句间衔接手段，全文结构不够清晰，意义欠连贯。
6. 第二档（1~5分）
（1）内容和逻辑上有较多重大问题，或有部分内容抄自原文，续写不完整，与原文情境基本脱节；
（2）所使用的词汇非常有限，语法结构单调，错误极多，严重影响理解；
（3）几乎没有使用语句间衔接手段，全文结构不清晰，意义不连贯。
7. 第一档（0分）
（1）未作答；
（2）所写内容太少或无法看清以致无法评判；
（3）所写内容全部抄自原文或与题目要求完全不相关。
注意：评分标准解读
总体来看，读后续写以读为辅，以写为主，其目标是考查学生的综合语言运用能力。评分标准是评分的依据和绝对标准。
依据评分标准，读后续写主要考查阅读理解能力，由读到写的思维能力和语言表达运用能力三个方面。评卷时，评卷老师先根据考生所续写短文的内容和语言初步确定其所属档次，然后以该档次的要求来衡量，确定或调整档次，最后给分。
阅卷老师在阅卷时，主要考虑以下内容：
（1）与所给短文及段落开头语的衔接程度；
（2）内容的丰富性；
（3）应用语法结构和词汇的丰富性和准确性；
（4）上下文的连贯性。
二、知识积累
（一）常用的话题词汇
1. 天气描写

（四）常用修辞手法
1. 明喻：用一种事物比喻所要说明的另一事物，两者在本质上或性质上有相似之处。常用格式是“本体+喻体”，常用like，as…as，as if或 as though引导。
Life is rather like opening a tin of sardines. We're all looking for the opener.
人生就像开启一罐沙丁鱼，我们大家都在找起子。
Good coffee is like friendship: rich and warm and strong.
好的咖啡如同友谊：丰厚、温暖、热烈。
2. 暗喻：对所比喻事物不直接点明而是用一个词来指代与该词所指事物有相似特点的另外一个事物。
Humor is the shock absorber of life, it helps us take action.
幽默是生活的减震器，它可以鼓舞我们付诸行动。
Love is a lamp. The darker the background is, the brighter it looks.
爱是一盏灯。背景越暗，它看上去就越亮。
3. 拟人：赋予无生命事物、自然现象、抽象概念或动物人的感情、行为、品质、态度等特征，以达到彼此交融、合二为一的效果。
The wind stood up and gave a shout.
大风凛冽，发出怒吼。
The forest held its breath, and the trees seemed to listen attentively。
森林屏住了呼吸，树木似乎聚精会神地听着。
4. 类比：比较两事物在多方面的相似或不同之处，常用结构：A is to B what C is to D: A之于B犹如C对D一样。
Shoes are to feet what tires are to wheels.
鞋子之于脚犹如轮胎之于车轮一样。
Books are to our minds what food is to our body.
书籍之于我们的思想，犹如食物之于我们的身体。
5. 夸张：通过夸大程度达到强调句意、丰富感彩的目的。
He worked his fingers to the bone.
他拼命干活。
I was scared to death.
我吓得要死。
6. 引用：写文章时，引用现成语（如成语、诗句、格言、典故等）以表达自己的思想感情，说明自己对新问题、新道理的见解。它使论据确凿、充分，增强说服力，富有启发性，而且语言精炼，含蓄典雅。
What impresses me most is his famous saying, "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration."
最让我印象深刻的是他的名言：“天才是百分之一的灵感加上百分之九十九的汗水。”
Since "life is a stage", we are actually actors and actresses.
因为“生活是一个舞台”，我们实际上都是男女演员。
三、写作技巧
1. 写作策略
（1）把握故事主题
续写故事要符合积极的世界观和价值取向，逻辑合理，情节连贯，从人与自我、人与社会、人与自然三个主题语境进行分析，读透文本信息，把握故事主题，防止主题跑偏和故事情节荒诞离奇。
（2）合理分析情节
读后续写能否拿高分某种程度上取决于故事情节的构思。这就要求考生做到学会分析情节。分析故事情节一般从故事六要素着手，即我们通常所说的“5W1H”，即who，when，where，what，why，how。然后根据故事情节发展线和主人公的情感变化理清文章脉络，续写文章。
（3）构思续写情节
分析段首句，根据其关键信息，提出问题，预设故事情节发展走向，即第一段情节内容。关注段首句和续写部分的衔接，思考续写第一段和第二段的衔接，推出第二段的情节。续写评分标准中的其中一项是上下文的连贯。所以在写作中，我们要注意续写部分与原文的形式和意义两方面都要保持连贯。我们可以通过恰当准确地使用过渡词，来达到文章形式上的连贯性。
思考故事如何结尾，如何与前文做好首位呼应，逻辑性强，展现故事主题。第二段尾句则应有文章主旨以及感情的升华，以正能量的语句(或自己从中得到的感悟等)进行总结，传递真的情感，弘扬人性的真善美。通过抒情、议论等方式表达人物的情感或人生的哲理，使文章完美收尾。
（4）优化语言结构
可以从人物外貌描写、心理情绪描写、动作描写、场景描写等细节进行分类训练，提升语言表达的质量。续写文章语言不但要优美，而且遣词造句更要多样化。润色语言，提高文采，体现出多样化语句。要求考生不仅要熟练掌握语法知识、句式结构，(比如倒装句、强调句、非限制性定语从句、分词作状语、各种状语从句、独立主格、虚拟语气等)，还要掌握大量的词汇和短语。
（5）运用细节微描写
要点和细节描写是得高分的关键。细节描写对加强文章的表现力发挥着重要的作用，考生应当善于捕捉细节、刻画细节(如心理描写、动作描写、环境写、外貌描写、神态描写)，并从这些方面进行润色，提升语言表达质量，还可以用上比喻、拟人、夸张等修辞手法以完成语言风格契合度高的短文。
2. 写作要求
（1）故事要围绕主要人物展开。
（2）详细刻画人物角色及其情感。
（3）有效使用连接成分，结构紧凑。
（4）运用丰富的词汇、语法结构和修辞使描写生动。
（5）第一段和第二段的内容衔接自然，逻辑合理通顺。
（6）续写内容与所给短文融洽度高，语言风格保持一致，思想积极向上。
3. 写作步骤
Step 1：浏览所给信息，确定大意主题——落点。
Step 2：梳理已知段落，确定主要情节——重点。
Step 3：借助段落开头，确定续写内容——突破点。
Step 4：刻画细节冲突，优美连贯表达——亮点。
Step 5：做到首尾呼应，结构完整合理——基本点。
4. 写作误区

I met Gunter on a cold, wet and unforgettable evening in September. I had planned to fly to Vienna and take a bus to Prague for a conference. Due to a big storm, my flight had been delayed by an hour and a half. I touched down in Vienna just 30 minutes before the departure of the last bus to Prague. The moment I got off the plane, I ran like crazy through the airport building and jumped into the first taxi on the rank without a second thought.
That was when I met Gunter. I told him where I was going, but he said he hadn't heard of the bus station. I thought my pronunciation was the problem, so I explained again more slowly, but he still looked confused. When I was about to give up, Gunter fished out his little phone and rang up a friend. After a heated discussion that lasted for what seemed like a century, Gunter put his phone down and started the car.
Finally, with just two minutes to spare we rolled into the bus station. Thankfully, there was a long queue (队列) still waiting to board the bus. Gunter parked the taxi behind the bus, turned around, and looked at me with a big smile on his face. "We made it," he said.
Just then I realised that I had zero cash in my wallet. I flashed him an apologetic smile as I pulled out my Portuguese bankcard. He tried it several times, but the card machine just did not play along. A feeling of helplessness washed over me as I saw the bus queue thinning out.
At this moment, Gunter pointed towards the waiting hall of the bus station. There, at the entrance, was a cash machine. I jumped out of the car, made a mad run for the machine, and popped my card in, only to read the message: "Out of order. Sorry."

I chose Paul Revere's horse as my subject. Paul Revere was a silversmith (银匠) in Boston who rode a horse at night on April 18, 1775 to Lexington to warn people that British soldiers were coming. My story would come straight from the horse's mouth. Not a brilliant idea, but funny; and unlikely to be anyone else's choice.
What did the horse think, as he sped through the night Did he get tired Have doubts Did he want to quit I sympathized immediately. I got tired. I had doubts. I wanted to quit. But, like Revere's horse, I kept going. I worked hard. I checked my spelling. I asked my older sister to correct my grammar. I checked out a half dozen books on Paul Revere from the library. I even read a few of them.
When I handed in the essay to my teacher, he read it, laughed out loud, and said, "Great. Now, write it again." I wrote it again, and again and again. When I finally finished it, the thought of winning had given way to the enjoyment of writing. If I didn't win, I wouldn't care.

I told him that thanks to his generosity and timely help, everything had gone smoothly. When he stopped his taxi outside the airport, I paid him for the "double car ride", back and forth from the airport to the bus station, together with a generous tip that he turned down. I also gave him an attractive souvenir I had bought at Prague, which he accepted with delight. We became good friends and kept in touch with each other regularly. I felt blessed to have such a warm-hearted friend like Gunter.

A few weeks later, when I almost forgot the contest, there came the news. I was informed that I won the first prize in the writing contest and that there would be an award presentation in two days. I was so happy to hear the news that I immediately shared it with my teacher. "I knew you'd win! I am proud of you. You made it!" he said excitedly. Then came the big day. When I was invited to the stage to receive the award, I expressed my thanks to my teacher. I said, "It's you who make me fall in love with writing, my social studies teacher. The next day, as the lesson began, Miss Bella asked who was going to be brave and go first. Nobody moved. Jessy slowly raised her arm. Before Miss Bella could say anything, there was a shout from behind. "She's stolen my watch!" Lee said angrily, "It went missing at school yesterday."

Tom could communicate well with other people through the computer or even on the phone, but when it came to making public presentations, he was hopeless. He was aware that people at conferences would count up the times he said such things as "what I really meant to say was" when he got nervous.
Tom was an expert in Reality Robotics Company. His boss had asked him to do something that he was absolutely scared about. The next month he would be presenting on behalf of his company, and there would be a lot of people, and his boss, who had never attended Tom's presentations, wanted to impress the audience with the innovative work that the company was doing. Tom knew his boss's respect for him would plummet (坠落) if he said that he could not do it. So, he worked like crazy on the task.
One day, he felt a great need to relax. He turned on the TV. He laughed, and smiled through the first show, making him feel a little better. But it was the second show that really got to him, where the ventriloquist (腹语术者) Arthur worked with his dummy (假人). This really provided him with an inspiration for how he was going to make his much-feared presentation a success.
The next day, he organized a meeting of the people that had the skills he needed, and, of course, his boss. When he explained what he wanted to do, he could sense that everyone was with him on this plan. But a lot of work had to be done for the object of the plan to be completed.
It was the day of the presentation. Tom was somewhat nervous, but nowhere near to the extent that he usually was for just such a situation. And they had to get to their destination early, for what needed to be done had to be completed before the audience knew what was going on.

Then came Miss Bella's voice, "Why is Lee's watch on your wrist " Jessy hesitated for a while and decided to tell the truth. However, on second thoughts of the well-prepared speech and the magic of the watch, she changed her mind. "Miss Bella, could I give the speech first and then explain " She made a request in a tone of begging.
Miss Bella smiled and asked the class to listen to Jessy's speech first. Jessy put away her fright, took a deep breath and made for the platform. Casting a glance at the sea of faces watching her, Jessy cleared her throat and began her speech. "I'm going to talk about swimming..." Word began to flood out of her. "What a terrific speech!" Whispers went around the classroom, and even Miss Bella nodded with approval. Immediately Jessy finished her speech, a storm of applause erupted from the class. Relieved, Jessy told everyone the truth, and especially the magic of the watch. She returned the watch to Lee as she eventually realized the real source of confidence.

The much-anticipated presentation started. The audience quieted, their curiosity piqued by the unusual setup. A figure draped in shadows appeared, capturing everyone's attention. Tom, from behind the scenes, controlled the robot, delivering the presentation through it. The audience was spellbound, marveling at the technology that made it seem as if the robot itself was talking with passion about the company's latest innovations in robotics. At the end of the speech, the presenter said, "To conclude today's presentation, we'll invite a mysterious guest here. You can never guess who he is!"
Tom walked onto the stage, looking exactly the same as the presenter. The crowd erupted into applause, both for the technological prowess demonstrated and for the clever way Tom had overcome his personal challenge. He stood beside the robot, confidently concluding the presentation with a Q&A session. Tom's boss watched from the audience, a broad smile spreading across his face. The event was a major success, not only for the company's public image but also for Tom, who had found a creative solution to his greatest fear.
