篇一：
Tu Youyou, a famous female pharmacologist and scientist, was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province on December 30th, 1930.
屠呦呦，著名女药理学家、科学家，1930年12月30日出生于浙江宁波。
In 1951, she was admitted into Beijing Medical College, majoring in making medicine and graduated in 1955. After graduation she has been working in China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences as Tenured&Chief Researcher. In 1969, she worked as the leader of a research team aiming to discover a treatment for malaria. In 1972, she managed to extract qinghaosu from a Chinese herb, which is very effective in fighting malaria. In 1986, she obtained a New Drug Certificate for qinghaosu, issued by the Ministry of Health of China. To all the Chinese people's excitement, she won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discovering a novel therapy against malaria in 2015, becoming the first female Chinese scientist to win the Nobel Prize. And in 2019, she was nominated for “The Greatest Person of the 20th Century. ”

Not only has she saved many people suffering from malaria, but also she has proved the effectiveness of Chinese herbs. Furthermore, she is admired because she devotes most of her time and energy to medical research. We should learn from her and devote ourselves to scientific research.

The Person I Respect
If you ask me who I admire most, my answer is Zhong Nanshan, a committed and patient doctor.

Zhong Nanshan, was born in 1936, who has been dedicated to the research, prevention and treatment of major respiratory infectious diseases, and has made great achievements. He is also a brave hero. In the face of SARS and COVID-19, he overcame his fear of unknown viruses. Moreover, in spite of the fact that he is in his eighties, he fights against viruses on the frontline, forgetting all about eating and sleeping.
