China is a nation of etiquette (礼仪). Chinese people are among the most hospitable people in the world. If foreigners visit a Chinese family, they would be surprised at the warmth that they would receive as guests.

Woodblock printing is one kind of printing which is one of the four great Chinese inventions. It carries countless cultural information and plays an important role in spreading traditional culture. It was once popular in printing history and can date back to the Tang dynasty. The invention is based on the early copy technology during the Tang Dynasty.
The stops of woodblock printing are divided into three parts: engraving (雕刻), ink applying, and bookbinding. First, choose a piece of smooth wooden board and engrave the text on the woodblock. Engrave every word and leave a little space. Second, print out the text. Brush the engraved board with ink, and put the paper on the surface of the board. At present, the earliest block-printed thing that can be seen is the block-printed Diamond Sutra (《金刚经》) of the Tang dynasty. It was found in Dunhuang and was printed in 868 AD. The printing process is very wonderful.
Woodblock printing has many advantages, so it quickly took the place of hand copying. Its biggest advantage is that a woodblock can be used again for printing. Also, it requires less work so it helps people to save more time. The use of woodblock printing is helpful to increase the number of books. In the past few years, I’ve changed a lot, both physically and mentally.
I used to be thin and short. But now I’m tall and strong. I’m a brave and outgoing student. However, I was a little bit shy before. My hobby has changed, too. I used to play computer games on weekends. But now I spend much time playing basketball with my friends. Besides, my English has improved a lot. I used to be afraid of speaking English. Later I tried to listen more and speak more. Now I even dare to make speeches in public in English.
The most important change in my life was becoming interested in reading. Last summer, my best friend gave me an interesting book to read. I enjoyed it so much that I started to read other books.
