一、教学内容分析
本课时为本单元的第一节课，课时主题围绕“人与社会”中“世界主要国家的文化习俗、节假日和庆祝活动”展开。本课时为本单元的起始课，帮助学生打开话题并了解和掌握本单元基础词汇和句型，以及不同的节日。Listening & Speaking部分共3个活动。Activity 1分为A、B和C活动。A活动呈现节日庆祝的图片和节日名称，学生通过匹配图片和节日名称，了解相关节日的信息。B活动以句子的形成呈现不同节假日的时间及人们的活动。学生通过阅读句子，将单词和句子配对并熟悉单词及句子。C活动通过替换黑体词进行简单操练，帮助学生理解和表达节日的时间。此活动旨在帮助学生学习理解单词和句型，为学习理解类活动。在Activity 2中，学生通过在Activity 1中掌握的内容进行听力活动，主要内容为通过独白描述劳动节的时间和人们的活动。学生通过完成听力活动任务，复习所学知识，并应能简单地介绍劳动节。Activity 3为两两活动，学生利用本节课所学单词和句型向同伴描述不同的节日及活动。此活动的目的是帮助学生将Activity 1和Activity 2中掌握的知识运用到现实生活中，为迁移创新类活动。
二、学情分析
对于七年级的学生来说，他们对于中国的传统节日有一定基础的了解，但是对于如何用英文表达这些节日的名称，以及描述这些节日的庆祝活动存在困难。
三、教学目标
通过本节课的学习，学生能够： 1. 掌握有关节日的名称； 2. 谈论节日的时间和典型活动； 3. 了解中国主要节日，品味中国节日文化。
四、教学重难点

五、教学活动设计
环节一：创设情境，导入主题（8 mins） 教师播放视频，引导学生看视频回答问题。再观察课本插图，回答与图片内容相关的问题。

环节三：通过听读活动，熟悉与内化表述节日名称和描述节日活动的目标语言（12 mins） 通过听读对话活动及角色扮演，引导学生获取节日时间、名称和典型活动等信息。
