一、一般过去时的定义、结构和用法
定义：
一般过去时表示过去某一时间内发生的动作或存在的状态，常与表示过去时间的状语连用，如：yesterday, last week, an hour ago 等。
结构：
1．肯定句：
主语 + 动词过去式 + 其他
I visited the museum yesterday.
She played tennis last weekend.
2. 否定句：
主语 + did not (didn’t) + 动词原形 + 其他
I didn’t visit the museum yesterday.
She didn’t play tennis last weekend.
3. 一般疑问句：
Did + 主语 + 动词原形 + 其他
Did you visit the museum yesterday
Did she play tennis last weekend
肯定回答：Yes, 主语 + did.
否定回答：No, 主语 + didn’t.
4．特殊疑问句：
疑问词 + did + 主语 + 动词原形 + 其他
What did you do yesterday
Where did she go last weekend
用法：
表示过去某一时间发生的动作或存在的状态：
He went to the park yesterday.
They were happy during the trip.
表示过去习惯性的动作或行为（常与used to结构对比）：
When I was a child, I played outside every day.
表示一连串过去发生的动作：
He opened the door, entered the room, and sat down.
