Tomato is usually thought to be a kind of vegetable, but it is really a fruit. It is not sweet and people often use it to make food, so we think of it as a kind of vegetable.
Tomato is from Mexico. Spanish explorers (探险者) brought back tomatoes to Europe from South America about 500 years ago. And the French called tomatoes “love apples” while the British called them “apples of gold”.

Cola is bad for our health. Cola is sweet, because it has sugar in it. Too much sugar can let you get fat (肥胖的). Drinking one bottle of cola each day can make you get fifeen pounds (磅) each year. When I was six years old, Grandpa sent me into the forest to gather pecans (山核桃). Picking up pecans was quite difficult for me and my little basket was only half full.
