教学目标
能借助图片环游、chant等活动理解绘本。通过try to read、listen and read等能够用正确的语音、语调朗读绘本。通过chant，小组操练等方式能掌握字母组合ai在单词中的发音。通过blending等能够掌握初步的拼读技巧。
学情分析
在语言知识储备方面，学生在之前的学习中已掌握26个字母的发音和cl、br、ar、er、ir、or和ur等字母组合发音，学生基本能够用Phonics拼读简单的单词。在学习技能方面已经基本掌握教师的课堂用语和指令，在多媒体课件的帮助下能听懂和读准英语单词和句子。在教师的指导下能完成一系列任务，并具备基本的小组合作能力。从学生的年龄特点上看，二年级的学生活泼好动，乐于模仿和表演，从教学设计上要符合学生的年龄特点。
教学环节与活动
Step 1 Warm-up
1. Phonics game: Review some vowel and consonant letters.
教师带领学生通过游戏字复习母音和拼读CVC形式的单词（a, mad, fat, clap, ran, i, pig, kiss, hid, lip）。
【设计意图】通过游戏环节使孩子们在趣味游戏中复习之前学过的字母“a”和“i”的基本发音，并为讨论发音和发音方法做铺垫。
2. 通过一首Travel歌曲，让学生认识交通工具train。
【设计意图】歌曲既是热身活动，又能帮助学生初步感知本课的，把学生的注意力快速吸引到本课中。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Lead -in the story 通过歌曲，进行师生对话，引出绘本故事主题、主角和标题，呈现教授单词snail，Spain和wait。
【设计意图】歌曲提供了语境，层层进入的对话激活学生已有的知识储备，也激发了学生对绘本的兴趣和好奇心。
2. Picture tour
教师通过PPT进行绘本故事的一轮环游 让学生观察图片和snails的表情，猜测故事情节，进而慢慢理解故事内容，初步呈现单词train driver，mailman Daisy， sailor和tail的音和义。
【设计意图】培养学生的观察能力，引导学生预测故事内容，发现更多细节，启发学生思维。
3. Read the story
教师给出问题：Who do they meet 学生自主阅读绘本并找出答案。让学生把单词train driver，mailman和sailor的音，义，形结合学习。
【设计意图】通过任务引导学生阅读绘本，为学生提供了目标和方向。
4. Watch the video
教师播放视频，学生回答问题：Can the snails arrive in Spain
【设计意图】通过视频整体通读有助于学生理解绘本全貌，掌握古诗的脉络，为学生后面的表演做准备。
Step 3 Practice
1. Find and chant
（1）Can you find
教师让学生观察单词找出他们的共同点：都含有相同的字母组合ai。
【设计意图】培养学生的观察能力，发现共同点。
（2）Listen and find
教师播放一段含有本课单词的音频，学生听音回答。
【设计意图】培养学生的听力，学生通过听，初步感知“ai”的发音。
（3）Let’s chant.
教师播放一段含有字母组合ai的拼读视频，学生通过听、唱，配合动作，初步尝试拼读。
【设计意图】通过朗朗上口的chant，巩固“ai”的发音，为接下来的拼读奠定基础。
2. Learn and chant
教师教授新词与歌谣。
【设计意图】词不离句，句不离篇的去学习单词并纠音。通过朗朗上口的chant，巩固单词和绘本故事有关的句子。
3. Try to blend.
教师通过PPT展示图片，学生尝试拼读。
【设计意图】学习字母组合ai的拼读方法, 尝试拼读单词，结合拼读活动变化操练ai的发音, 培养学生的拼读能力。
4. Let’s play a game.
学生在UFO游戏中练习含有ai单词的拼读。
【设计意图】运用游戏巩固ai大发音，让学生体验学习乐趣，激发学习兴趣。同事检测了学生对知识的掌握和运用情况。
5. Listen and choose
教师通过PPT播放故事中的句子，学生选择单词。
【设计意图】通过与绘本内容有关的听音选词的练习，让学生再次巩固新单词，并为下一步的故事阅读扫清障碍。
6. Review the story
教师使用Mind map带领学生一起回顾故事内容。
【设计意图】利用思维导图帮助学生梳理思路, 思维导图能有效表达发射性思维，运用图文并重的技巧，把绘本的内容用含有“ai”关键词与图像相互隶属的层级图表现出来。
7. Try to read the story
学生两人一组读尝试读故事。
【设计意图】当一系列拼读和扫障碍活动后再回到总体的体现，学生尝试着读绘本，为后文故事的输出和表演故事奠定基础。
8. Listen and repeat.
教师通过PPT展示,个别学生朗读，然后学生一起听音频跟读。
【设计意图】检测学生的学习效果，增强学生学习的自信心。
Step 4 Production
1. Act out the story
首先教师先选出5个学生分别snails，train driver，mailman和sailor，剩余学生旁白，然后教师把学生分成六个小组，学生自由选择角色或者旁白。
【设计意图】小组表演绘本，通过形象生动的故事表演，培养小组合作意识，展示学习成果。
