Green is no longer just a color. It is a new way of thinking about the world and a 1 of living your life. Understanding that your choices affect not just today, but the future. Understanding that when we talk about“ saving the planet” or“saving the environment”, we are actually talking about saving 4 ! You may be thinking: Hey, I'm just one person, on a planet with billions. I can't really 5 . Well, have you ever seen a group of people do“the wave(波浪)” It 6 starts off with one or two people, jumping up and down like crazy. Soon 7 people are joining in. “Going green” is just like that. It starts with 8 actions. It can soon build into a wave 9 will change the whole planet and lead us all to healthier, happier lives. Now it's your 10 to think about how you can“go green”. People who don't make mistakes won't learn anything. The best 1 to learn something is to make mistakes first. Benjamin Franklin, the American scientist, once said, “I didn’t 2 the test. I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.” Thomas Edison, who invented the light bulb(电灯泡), told his friends, “Of the 200 light bulbs that didn't work, every failure told me 3 I was able to incorporate(吸收) into the next try.”
Both of them 4 that failure is the stepping stone to success. 5 ,a surprising number of everyday objects were created because of a mistake or a misunderstanding. Bread and potato chips are both unexpected inventions. A tired Egyptian man invented bread 6 the dough(生面团) rose during his sleep. And potato chips were first 7 by an American cook when a customer told him that his potatoes weren't thin enough.
Successful businessmen have 8 made big, expensive mistakes. Once a man, who worked for IBM, made a mistake that cost the company $600,000. Thomas Watson, the boss, was asked if he would 9 the man to leave his job. “Of course not,” Thomas replied. “I have just spent $600,000 training him. I won’ t let another company benefit(获益) from his experience.”
The 10 thing to remember is that you need to learn from your mistakes. If you don't, then there is no meaning in making them.
