One morning in June 2023, a high school student Alex saw a community message on social media. A strong storm the night before had caused many trees in a nearby small park to fall, and part of the park was closed off. The message said that the park’s management team was cleaning up the fallen trees, but they needed more volunteers to help.
Alex was a member of the school ‘ volunteer club. He quickly called the club leader, explained the situation, and asked for agreement to help. They quickly put on work clothes, asked the management team if they had enough tools, and got a positive answer. They rode their bikes, with gloves, to the park.
When they arrived, they saw the park’s management team, including Mr Thompson and several other workers, working hard to clear the fallen trees.
Alex walked up and greeted them warmly, “Good morning, everyone, we’re here to help!”
The park manager Mr Thompson smiled, “You came. That’s great! The work here is too much, and we don’t have enough people.”
Everyone worked together. Some cut the big trees into smaller pieces, while others moved them to a pile (堆). They also used brooms (扫帚) and garbage bags to clean up leaves. Although the work was hard, they encouraged each other, and the work went quickly.
While cleaning, they found a frightened little bird. The bird ‘ wing seemed hurt, and it couldn’t fly. Alex gently held the bird in his hand and said to his friend bake, “We need to help it.”
They made a temporary nest (临时的鸟窝) for the bird with leaves and soft grass and placed it in a bate place. They contacted the local animal rescue organization and described the bird’s situation to the worker.

写作示范两篇
第一篇
第一段
After that, they went on cleaning the park. As they were moving a particularly large tree trunk, they realized it was too heavy for them to handle alone. Alex quickly came up with a plan. He asked some volunteers to find thick ropes while others fetched a sturdy wooden plank. They tied the ropes around the trunk and used the plank as a lever. With everyone working together, they managed to move the trunk bit by bit. Despite the hard work and sweating, their spirits remained high. After hours of effort, most of the fallen trees were cleared, and the park started to regain its former look.
第二段
As they looked at the clean park, workers from the animal rescue organization arrived. Two professionals in white uniforms stepped out of the van, carrying a small medical kit. They carefully examined the little bird. One of them said, "The bird's wing is fractured, but thanks to your timely help, it has a good chance of recovery." They praised the volunteers for their kindness and responsibility. Alex and his friends felt a sense of pride. This experience not only made the park clean but also taught them the importance of caring for nature and its creatures.
第二篇
第一段
After that, they went on cleaning the park. While cleaning a secluded corner, they found a large pile of old branches and debris that had been hidden under the fallen trees. It was a tough job to clear it all. But the volunteers didn't give up. They divided themselves into groups, with some using axes to chop the large branches into smaller pieces and others filling garbage bags. They encouraged each other throughout the process. With their combined efforts, the corner was finally cleaned up. The park was now almost completely back to its normal state.
第二段
As they looked at the clean park, workers from the animal rescue organization arrived. The rescuers were impressed by the clean park and the well - made temporary nest. They gently picked up the bird and examined it closely. One of the rescuers said, "You kids did a great job. This bird will be taken to our center for treatment and will be released back into the wild when it's fully recovered." The volunteers were happy to hear that. They realized that their small actions could make a big difference, both to the park and to the life of the little bird.
参考答案

Without your help, we don’t know how long it would have taken to finish this work.” Alex smiled and said, “It’s what we should do, Mr Thompson. The park belongs to all of us, and we all want it to return to normal as soon as possible.”
As they looked at the clean park, workers from the animal rescue organization arrived. They carefully took the bird and said they would take it for a check-up and treatment.
