Step One. Pre-task activities I.Leading-in (19 minutes) II.Assigning today’s task to the whole class. (1 minute) Step Two. While-task activities (60 minutes) 5m’ 1.Letting the students make groups of 4 or 5 people. 2. Letting the students work in group, discuss and write down the activities they like to do with the Internet. 3. Letting the students have a chain competition in group by speaking out activities they like to do with the internet. Playing a video which is mainly about the Internet safety. Assigning today’s task to the whole class: “To work out an internet safety plan” “How can you play smart, stay safe and have fun while you’re online You need to plan ahead. Now, work in groups and prepare an internet safety plan for the whole class. ” Working in groups of 4 or 5 people. 1.Letting the students read the passage of Life and culture for the first time and answer two questions: (1)What does the passage about Making groups working in group, discussing and writing down the activities they like to do with the Internet. Having a chain competition in group by speaking out the activities they like to do with the internet. Watching the video. Listening and thinking. Reading the passage and answering the questions. To arouse the students’ interest and get ready for the next step. To help the students be clear about what they are going to do today. To help the students to get general information on internet safety tips.

Letting the students read the passage again and decide whether the given sentences are true or false according to the passage. 3.Letting the students brainstorm about the following situations and get to understand their meanings: A.
