节奏（Rhythm）
英语是一种节奏较强的语言。英语句子中有的词重读，有的词不重读。英语单词中有重读音节和非重读音节，重读和非重读音节在句中形成一强一弱或一重一轻的变化，这样就形成了英语的节奏。例如：
在上面的歌谣中，每行歌谣有四个重读音节，要读得清楚响亮，重读音节之间夹杂的非重读音节，要读得又轻又快。重弱读音节交替进行，像音乐中的节拍，构成英语句子的节奏。
