一、教材分析
What: 2a是一篇关于作者与宠物狗小华之间深厚关系的描述。文章主要讲述了小华作为家庭一员，不仅在外貌上吸引人，性格上也极为友好，更重要的是，小华对作者（一位盲人）起到了重要的辅助和陪伴作用
Project内容主要分为三项活动，逐步引导学生设计一个动物园。
Why: 2a语篇中让读者了解作者与小华之间的深厚关系，以及小华在作者生活中的重要角色。同时，文章也传递了宠物与人类之间深厚的情感纽带和相互依赖的关系。
Project的动物园设计，设置真实场景，启发学生的想象力和思维能力。
How: 2a语篇中采用了简洁明了的叙述方式，通过描述小华的外貌特征、性格特点以及特殊功能来展示它的形象。最后，作者表达了对小华的深厚感情，并强调了它们之间的亲密关系。
Project中通过对动物园设计并介绍自己的动物园，复习有关动物介绍的核心句式，建构动物介绍的写作结果与模式，进一步增强学生对语言的实际运用能力；最后一部分通过自我反思检测学生的掌握效果。
二、教学内容
复习本单元动物介绍的方式以及重点句型，列出动物介绍的内容要点。
三、教学目标
1.复习本单元所学的动物的名称以及描述动物的形容词。
2. 能够将本单元所学的核心目标语言迁移应用到自己的写作之中。。
3.通过不同方式的练习来熟练表达自己的喜好及描述不同的动物。
4.培养学生用英语谈论动物特征的表达能力，树立人类与动物和谐相处，共同生存，关爱动物，保护动物，爱护自然的意识。
四、教学重难点
重点：1. 能综合运用本单元的知识介绍自己最喜欢的动物，并阐述喜欢的理由。
2. 能够用书面的形式写一篇关于自己最喜欢的动物的短文。
难点：能够用书面的形式写一篇关于自己最喜欢的动物的短文，并提升写作句式。

Step 1 Lead in
1. Greetings.
2. Create a situation: Let’s go to the zoo!
Imagine you are in a zoo. What would you see there And what are they like？
3. Choose some students answer the questions.
【设计意图】：对本单元课时中的重点词汇和句型,对动物的表述进行总结性的复习。温故而知新，为接下来的写作打好基础。

1. Complete the passage with the words in the box.
2. Check the answers.

3.Let’s read the text together, please work in groups and find out how does the writer introduces her god.
4. Please list the key points of introducing your favourite animal.
Step 3 Writing
Work on 2b
1. Let students work on 2b and write down their answers on the textbook.
2. Let students add more questions about describing the animals.

Find out some beautiful sentences from the text 1b and 2a. And write them in your notebook. And you can add more.

Choose an animal. Describe it. Guess one another’s animals and write them down in the table.

Step 5 Work on 3b
1. Let understand the elements and layout of the zoo, and learn the basic elements and steps in making a map.
2. You’re going to design a zoo. Choose some of the animals from 3a for your zoo. Give your reasons.

Step 6 Work on 3c
1. Let students draw a map of their zoo and present it to the class.
2. Let students introduce their map in class Using the expressions in the box.
3. Vote for the zoo you like.
Step 7 Reflecting
1. Let students reflect how well they learned according to the reflecting chart.
2. Think about the two big questions in this unit and try to answer them in your own words.

（2）How are animals part of our lives？
Step 8 Homework
1. Read and write the new words and phrases in the lesson.
2. Finish your post and revise it according to your classmate’s comments.
