一、意义
在英语中，用来表示动作发生的频率的副词，被称为频度副词。常见的频度副词（词组）有always，usually，often，sometimes，seldom，hardly ever 和 never等。它们表示的频率高低如下：

二、用法
频度副词常用于一般现在时或一般过去时中，表示经常性、习惯性或反复发生的动作。
We often go to school by bus.我们经常乘公共汽车去上学。
He sometimes got up at seven last year.去年他有时 7 点起床。
三、在句中的位置
频度副词通常放在行为动词之前，连系动词be、情态动词或助动词之后。可概括为“行前系后情助后”。但sometimes位置较灵活，也可放在句首或句末。

①对频度副词提问时，常用疑问词组 how often，意为“多久一次”。

—Never.从不（吃）。
② always 与 never 可构成一对反义词。
③ sometimes 可放在句首、句中或句末，often 可放在句末（一般不放在句首）。

① survey作可数名词，意为“民意调查”，复数为 surveys。

Seldom作频度副词，意为“不常；很少”。在句中用于连系动词 be、助动词或情态动词之后，实义动词之前。
