根据课本单词表P112-113，自主学习以下单词或短语：what if→revise
1. what if 要是...会怎么样呢 2. concentrate 集中；聚精会神
3. concentrate on 集中精力于 4. experiment 实验；试验
5. leave...alone 不打扰；不惊动
6. awkward 令人尴尬的；难对付的；笨拙的
7. explore v.探索；勘探 8. confident adj.自信的
9. look forward to 期待；盼望 10. take notes 记笔记

1．what if．．．要是．．．会怎么样呢？
用法：if后面加句子。
eg. What if it rains tomorrow
要是明天下雨会怎么样呢？
eg. What if we can＇t find a shelter（躲避处）when it rains？
2．concentrate v．集中
concentrate on...集中精力于...；专注于... 同义表达： focus on
eg. As a student, we should concentrate on（专注于）our study.
3．leave．．．alone 不打扰
let alone 更不用说
eg.＂Didn＇t you see I am annoyed？ So leave me alone.＂ shouted Tom.（试译）难道你没看到我很烦恼吗？所以别打扰我。” 汤姆喊道。
The baby can＇t walk，let alone run.（试译）
这个婴儿还不会走路，更不用说跑了。
4．confident adj．自信的
考点：1）形容词与名词的互变2）形容词与副词辨析
类似的单词还有：patient adj.耐心的→ patience n.

5．curious adj．好奇的；求知欲强的
