探究并总结不定代词 all和both、 neither和none、either的
用法及区别。
不定代词 all和both
1) both 表示“两者”, 而all表示“全体, 一切”, 指三者及以上。
all还可以指不可数的事物。
e.g. — Which of the two shirts do you like
— I like both.
e.g. All of the students went to the cinema yesterday evening.
e.g. All was changed.
2) both和all还可以用于主语之后。
e.g. We both/all passed the exam. 我们俩/大家都通过了考试。
neither和none都表示否定的意思,它们的区别在于:
1) neither表示对两者的否定,而none用于表示对三者及以上的否定。
e.g. I saw two boys at the door, but neither(of them) is my brother.
e.g. None(of the students) in my class wants/want to give up.
2) none 除指可数的人和物外,还可以表示不可数的东西。
none 还可以表示“零”这一数字概念。
e.g. There was some coffee in my office, but there's none there.
e.g. — How many postcards have you sent
— None.
不定代词 neither和none
either 表示两者中的“任何一个”。
e.g. You can use either of the bathrooms.
e.g. Either plan sounds great to me.
e.g. — Which of the two shirts do you want
— Either will do.
【注意】either表示二选一,如在最后一个例句中,
either表示“哪个都可以”, 说明购物者要
买一件衬衫而不是两件都要。如表示两件
都要,则用both。
