不可数名词是无法用数目来计算的数不过来、没法数的名词。

（1）无法分割的个体物质、材料的名词，如：
air空气 glass玻璃 metal金属 electricity 电

（2）气体名词：
air空气 oxygen氧气 等。
（3）液体名词：
water水 tea茶 milk牛奶 soup汤 juice果汁
coffee咖啡 oil油,石油 ink墨水 等。
（4）自然现象：
thunder雷,雷声
sunlight太阳光 sunshine日光
rain雨 snow雪 等。
2.抽象名词：
表示动作、状态、品质、感情等抽象意义的名词。
如：youth青春 health健康 time时间 childhood童年 love热爱,爱情, mind智力,记忆 honesty诚实 pain痛苦 hope希望 friendship 友谊
joy欢乐，喜悦，高兴 knowledge 知识 peace和平 help帮助

（1）可转化为可数名词的物质名词。
物质名词在表达个体或具体的概念时可转化为可数名词。
这些物质名词可以转化为可数噢！
beer啤酒 → a beer 一杯啤酒
wind风 → a wind 一阵风
rain 雨 → a rain一场雨
coffee 咖啡→ a coffee 一杯咖啡
tea茶→ a tea一杯茶
glass玻璃→ a glass 一个玻璃杯
It is made of glass.
那是由玻璃制成的。
( glass表示材料,为不可数名词)
She was so angry that she broke two glasses yesterday.
她非常生气，昨天打碎了两个玻璃杯。
(glass为制成品，为可数名词)
times时代 woods森林 manners礼貌

有些物质名词变为复数形式后
表达特殊的含义。
（2）抽象名词一般是不可数名词，但表示具体事物时，可用作可数名词，也可有复数形式，表示“某种人或物”
这些抽象名词可以转化为可数噢！
beauty 美→beauty美人或美丽的事物
danger 危险→danger令人感到危险的人或事success 成功→success成功的人或事
surprise惊讶→surprise 令人感到惊讶的人或事failure 失败→failure 失败的人或事
worry忧虑→worry令人感到烦恼的人或事
Some children do not recognize the authority of parents.
有些孩子不认可父母的权威。
(authority 表示抽象的概念时为不可数名词)
He is a great authority in ancient history.
他是古代史的权威人物。
(抽象名词表示具体的人或者物时为可数名词)
（3）可转化为可数名词的专有名词专有名词一般视为不可数名词，但有时也可以用作可数名词，其前可加不定冠词或者用复数形式。
这些专有名词可以转化为可数噢！

There' re two Marys in my class. I often confuse them.
我们班里有两个叫玛丽的。我经常把她们弄混。
重点提示1：
1. beef, fish, chicken ,pork ,meat ,mutton
等表示肉类的食物是不可数名词；
2.fruit ,salad ,ice cream ,food等指总称时是
不可数名词，指种类时是可数名词；
3. Cabbage fish chicken指食物时是不可数
名词，指植物和活着的动物时是可数名词。

有些名词只有作复数。

1.some, a little, a lot of, plenty of 等表示多少。
There is a little water in the bottle .

We should collect some useful information.

2.用单位词表示（ a ... of 表示）
